Hated cauliflower as a child. My parents used to make me eat it for Sunday lunch, if I didn't I had to eat it at tea time, and once or twice, for breakfast on Monday.
Now I realise that what I hated was soggy cauliflower - I love it the way that I cook it

Oh, I ate everything put in front of me! You couldnât leave the table at my primary school unless youâd eaten everything. I remember having a prune stone eating competition with my table and I won!
I was such a greedy git that I went to my friendâs for tea and then home to eat another! I even secretly made sugar or vinegar butties when I came home from school before my Dad got home

I used to hate butter beans, but I was brave and put them in some tomatoey pasta last week and they were okay.

I forgot about those evil beans - white kidney shaped horrors I like green beans though. I have a great recipe for chicken and some square-shaped green pasta - can't remember the name - with grean beans.

Cheese pie at school...not that I've had it lately but I seem to remember the last time I had it, it wasn't too bad
I used to love fresh orange juice squeezed, from fresh oranges.

The Harrods Cook book makes Devilled recipes look dated
hated my mums lumpy mash potato and still wouldn't go near it.. and her carrots.
in fact, one dinner was so bad, i threw it down the loo, but i forgot to flush. she rushed into the room to ask who had been sick so i got away with it.

For years I refused to eat lots of things in sauces like curry/bolegnese etc. I would have a plate of rice or a plate of pasta instead... just dry. They are now my favourite foods.
I used to hate cucumber, but conversely enjoyed watching other people eat it because it was all crunchy - really love it now though!
Liver Kidney and Butter Beans ...hated all three and still do but - things I grew to like - Cauliflower, Parsnips, Blue Cheese, Goats cheese, Marmite, Olives, Pate and lots of other stuff.
I was a very picky eater as a child.

I too used to hate cucumber and couldn't understand how anybody could eat. Nowadays I can eat it.
However I cannot eat Worcester apples, not because I dislike them, but because I get mild anaphylactic shock (if that's spelt right). I also can't eat lemon sole without becoming ill.

I hated most vegetables but now enjoy approx 50% of vegetables though I couldn't say I like them all. I was unable to leave the table until I had eaten my vegetables as a child so I used to smother them in brown sauce to disguise the taste but often vomited afterwards cos I found them so vile. I also did not like the taste of coca cola as I found it very sweet and to this day I prefer diet coke to the full fat variety.
