 i drink a lot of wine - i have a lot of glasses ....in all sorts of shapes and sizes my favourites are sherry glasses with green stems that my son got me from the pound shop when he was ten - i always smile with my sherry

they're similar to this but tulip shaped and squatter

That's another drink I like. I don't see as much around now though  I used to love one of those small cans with me pork dinner on a Sunday  

I had a set similar to these, but my cousin nicked them 

I've various red white and champagne flutes,then there's the Waterford crystal ones and another cut crystal set we got as a wedding present ,both only used for special occasions.

Pork and apple, that's a good combo.

You're right though, I haven't seen Appletise around as much recently.

it's a bit of a big pic but the only one I can find. French wine tasting glasses (not very expensive) we always but a dozen or so every visit.

Blimey Lee, I'd  be frightened to get the Waterford ones out  I've got some Waterford glass ornaments that mam got from peeps at work when she retired and I'm almost frightened to handle them to clean them  

I've got one wine glass left from my favourite set ... it's nice and big!!

I've obviously got others, but I always use 'my' glass.

I can't stand long thin glasses - we have some liqueur glasses that look fabulous ... but they are so small at the top that I can't get my nose in them

I hate them  

 I have lots of *ordinary* everyday wine glasses...... but also have two very *posh* sets that my children bought us.....which I have to remember to get out when they come over/up for a meal

I love kitchen utensil/cutlery/crockery threads - they're my favourite. I really feel we get to know fellow FM's that way

I have some lovely really big wine glasses .............we stopped using them a while ago ............too big a glass can be dangerous. Nice but ..............................I don't need any encouragement - I tend to use the uber wine glasses for dessers these days!

I've got Edinburgh Crystal ones (wedding present) - they've been up the loft for 30 years because we're too frightened to use them.

Is anyone a wine connosiouer (sp). Do the glasses make any difference like they are supposed to?

I actually walked in on Mr C putting the Waterford glasses AND the ice bucket into the dishwasher...I love Waterford ,the lamps ornaments and clocks are all safely put away,they don't match the decor now .

We've only got a few Waterford glasses left now - I was never really that fond of them, so we tended to use them and not keep them 'for best'.

And yes nutty, I have got a big nose

In all honesty i think you should use them and enjoy them. I don't believe in stashing things away because they're valuable. Get them out ............if you only use them on special occasions OK - but you really should use them and enjoy them IMO.

If they get broken c'est la vie..................far better than being in a dark dust attic and then your kids use/abuse them when you're gone!
