Not really comparable to losing a human member of the family, I know, but the old dog had to be put to sleep two weeks ago, aged 16, and my mum's really missing him a lot.
Not this year thank goodness, but love to all who have empty seats round the table and elsewhere this Christmas xx
Aww did she used to buy him prezzies? Pets are part of the family too.
I've got my moms dog now (she's 14!) and i've bought her a couple of lil presents.

Yep, he used to get doggy stockings and a bowlful of Christmas dinner.
It will seem a lot quieter, without him getting excited by all the wrapping paper andbustling about.

Hi Tina (and everyone else). I remember when you posted in C4 that you were feeling a bit guilty about things, and I said it was early days and everyone is different for everyone that needs them, it's hard I know. I no longer have my parents with me but it does ease (a bit) over time

It's the same for me Tina so I know how you'll feel Although they wouldn't have been around our Christmas table we've also lost a few friends this year through either accident or illness. We always toast lost family, friends and our pets before starting our Christmas dinner, this year won't be any different. Hugs and love to all who will be thinking of loved ones. Reference:
