I love it sprout, but I do not like trick or treat.  Gangs of random kids from miles around who you don't know, banging on the door every 2 minutes for 6 hours, begging for sweets..or money or whatever..  Half the neighbours in our road had the 'no trick or treat' sign which was produced by the police.  Me and my pals and family and colleagues always have a little party though with about 30 of us.

Oh dear

It's the loud bangs

I could start to like them

All noise and they last 30 seconds

Are you sure you're not confusing them with men?

Yes, I love fireworks! Going to our local one at the sports centre across the road tomorrow.  I love them so much my husband proposed to me on Fireworks night.

People round here seem to be letting them off for weeks beforehand.  It's so upsetting to watch how distressed he gets .....and he won't leave the house for weeks.  I hate this time of year now

Yeah, it's the same here Hoochie. The shops shouldn't be allowed to sell them untill a couple of days beforehand

Have you given him anywhere quiet he can go Pengy. There was an article on the news just before I went out this morning. A vet had shown a 'den' he'd made from a small table and blankets over the top of it. Would that help maybe?

I am going to a family event.

But I have a love hate relationship with fireworks. I love organised displays, they can be fantastic. But I hate the kids who think it is great to set off fireworks during the night when you have to get up for work next day. This happens each year where I live. Starts just before Nov 5th and ends 1st week in Jan.
