And I cry...every time....pathetic!
I hate films with really sad bits in them MrsB....
For this reason I will only watch the first half of Top Gun... The Lion King is forever banned from my viewing list (I remember settling down to watch it for the first time when ickle was a toddler and not well... was not happy about how sad that was... it made Bambi look like a feel good film!)... And much as I love Moulin Rouge... I prefer to stop it ten minutes before the ending!

Ditty, you can't beat a good blub-fest of a film!!! 'Homeward Bound, The Incredible Journey' is a great one for inducing tears all round in our house.....even Mrb has to sniff them back!!!

NEVER!!!! No bloody way would I watch that film!!!! I'd rather watch The Hostel or something... honest... sad animal films (even if they do have happy endings)... I cannot do them at all!!
and... for me life has enough sad bits in it... I prefer my entertainment not to have sad stuff in it!
I would also never watch... Lassie Come Home... Marley & Me.... Turner & bloody Hooch (Hooch's puppies do not make up for Hooch dying! ).. etc etc...
I could only watch I am Legend the other night... after Zaph told me the dead dog bit was over...

You'd be well advised to give 'Old Yeller' a wide berth, then, Ditty!

Agree with you on these two. Both brilliant films.
I've never seen The Sound of Music but intend to put that right today!
(am still practicing quoting and didn't want to cock it up)
