I thought the acting in the Jerk was pretty damned fine, actually!

It was the title of the film that reminded me of Marcus, I'll admit, and I don't think there is a film called the Complete Tosser.

I could be wrong.

Oh right, so you have to be quite talented to play "The Jerk" then. Obviously yes, that would put Rodrigo and Charlie out of the question then wouldn't it? Though the naive, less intelligent aspect of the Jerk's character is very much like the one Charlie wishes to portray himself as so could be good type casting there. But no, he would ruin it as he is not a good actor at all.
