I saw some woman doing this yesterday in very slow traffic, but even so she nearly went into the back of someone!
It's gotta be graphic to get the message across.
That should be shown nationwide, hope it sinks in.
Let's hope the graphic nature of this film saves lives...
I still see people defiantly texting or phoning while driving. Utterly thoughtless and selfish.
Their lack of consideration makes me so angry.
So much so that if I see someone has pulled over to phone or text, I am tempted to go up to them and congratulate them.
(I haven`t done so, but I`d like them to know their common sense is appreciated.)

True, and I hope it does get the message across. But did you notice the last line of the announcement at the end of the film? "This film . . . will be shown in schools"; fair enough, but how many school childen drive? It should be shown repeatedly on National TV!
If that dont make people stop doing it. Nothing will.The little girl and the baby;
The film should be made available on DVD and sent out as part of a pack when applying for a provisional licence, it needs to be seen by more than just school children.
My mom was in a traffic accident 3 years ago, from someone on the phone while drunk, she's in a wheelchair now, if this gets it across it would save so many lives.

Good idea
Wow that is good. It's been very well done. Ooooh, the baby which appeared to be motionless (about 2 minutes in,) was creepy.
Tell you what, it makes my bloody blood boil when I see people on the phone (talking OR texting,) whilst driving. I mean, how the hell can they possibly drive properly? I can't; I mean, I need two hands to drive personally!
I have my mobile in my bag on the back seat and look to see if there is any messages when I stop the car.
Thanks again Monkey13.

Much to my embarrassment Mrs Joe always points and makes a fuss when she sees drivers using handies.
I'm always worried that one may see her later when she's on her own. I don't think she understands what car drivers can be like in extremo.

It should definitely be Nationwide this video.
Today I saw some stupid woman on her mobile in her car in front of me and she was all over the place, then she reached round to the back seat of her car to I assume put it back in her bag!
What a stupid stupid woman.

I am both a driver and a pedestrian, spend a good amount of time doing both.
I have noticed two things one being a worrying trend.
Texting whilst driving seems to be more prevealent in my city. Also I have noticed an increasing number of people (mainly younger) not wearing seat belts or having them on, but slipping their arm back through the belt so that it runs under the armpit and not over the shoulder (this seems to be more women than men).
I would make texting penalties much stronger. If you are stopped by a police officer and found guilty of texting or using the phone while driving, your vehicle is taken and crushed.

I really don't understand why they only propose showing that film in schools.. Surely it would be more appropriate to show it on TV - prime time - when more people are likely to be watching.

Sadly they won't show it prime time because there wold be took many complaints to OFCOM nowadays, the "Clunk, Click every trip" CERTAINLY wouldn't get shown today.
that baby
i saw this on facebook a week or so ago, i passed it on...i'm very anxious when i get into a car (as a passenger lol), about 2 years ago a teenage lad drove into the back of us due to him texting. we were all ok, but it scared the shit outta me and i can't relax in a car since. especially as i had my son in the back

, shocking video but this is the way to get the message across as some people never learn so you have to be hard hitting to drum the message in it's for your own safety .
