The gingerbread man isn`t saying the correct time. I logged in at around 03.00 (what am I doing up at this time of the morning? ) and it`s saying I logged in at 00.44.
Havve you checked to see that your timer setting is correct. Now that we have in British Summer Time (try telling that to the weather this next couple of weeks!) the time should be set to GMT +1.

To set your personal time setting, once you are logged in, go to https://www.hoo.do/personal/manage/settings. You can set the time zone at that screen.

Hey, Bazille:

Just wanted to let you know that I asked about the rating, and it's pretty simple:  You can vote for the topic more than once, after each time someone posts. I'm sure you've noticed you can't vote on your own content.

It seems like there were some unpopular posts made that took the rating back down to 4 stars, but I'm sure you can get it back up to 5 in no time.

I spent a few hours last night trying to get here but couldn't because of a problem that happens every now and again. When I click on the link to come here the green bars at bottom of page start to load very slowly, but when it gets to 100% it just hangs there and does nothing, even if I leave it for 15 minutes and more. Just before trying last night I'd cleared my temp files and cookies, I can't remember if it's every time I've done that is what causes the problem but don't understand why that should cause it.

Hi, Yellow Rose:

Are you using Firefox?  I'm having the same issue, and one of our developers fixed it for me the other day.  It's come up again, so I've asked him how he fixed it.   Once I find out, I'll let you know the steps.  In the meantime, I'm using another browser, since I can't seem to use Firefox for the moment.

Hi Lori, no I'm using IE 7. When this problem happens it's not usually resolved until the next day - last night's experience at least proved that as today it's fine. Maybe when it happens I need to shut down the pc? still curious though that it happened after clearing out files and cookies, before doing that I was able to get here.

Just to let you know my problems are the cogs when editing (I just refresh after 30 seconds and hey presto it's there!) and the big page with no smilies happens a lot - then I know it won't post so refresh and it's ok. Also the disappearing cursor!
It doesn't freeze my whole system though - I just refresh.
I do love it here tho and I use Vista and FF.

Yellow Rose, I've just been to visit a developer about this issue, because I had it again over the weekend.  Very interesting, and very enlightening:
1.  The problem arises at home, and never at work.
2.  I can fix the issue at work (once I've brought it to work) by clearing my cache, but that doesn't work at home.

So, Brian deduced that I have malware that came in via my router at home, and asked me about security.  I know my wireless is secure and requires a password, but I don't know about the router itself.  So, he recommended that I:
1.  Upgrade to the latest firmware for my router and
2.  Use OpenDNS (opendns.com).  I don't know if this is available to you over there, but I don't know why it shouldn't be.  Apparently the steps are very easy to follow.

You can read about the problem here, along with some other possible solutions: http://www.google.com/support/...9abe&hl=en

If you read my thread on Firefox 3.6 you will see that besides Mozilla having to release v 3.6.2 to remove security risks, they have had to release v.3.6.3 today to remove a new security risk since identified. Although this should be automatically downloaded, it is important to ensure that this is done.

I do not know if this is what has been causing YellowRose's never-ending cogwheels problem - time will tell.

For those of an extremely technical mind, further details of the specific security risk can be found at Mozilla's page
(This will be complete gibberish to anyone other than experts in this field)

I downloaded Firefox v 3.6.2, El Loro. How do I check if v 3.6.3 has automatically downloaded? Please can you explain in terms suited to a computing idiot novice? Thank you.

It's okay panic over, I've managed to download the v 3.6.3 version.

Good. On my computer the latest version of Firefox is downloaded automatically. You can control automatic updates by going to Tools - Options - Advanced and select the Updates tab. There you can control how Firefox updates are downloaded. The chances are that it is already set for automatic downloading.

Hi Lori Thanks for the link which I checked and most of the posters mention Firefox or Macs, I'm using IE7 with Windows XP. I have quite a lot of security so hadn't thought along the lines of malware as when I had such a problem quite some time ago it played havoc with just about everything my pc, whereas, the occasional problem I have here of the green bars just hanging so can't access the Forum only happens when I try to come here. Puzzling lol. Also a fix of the Edit function would be extremely appreciated
