Can you define "throwing me out"? What's the error message.
We've looked and don't see any cause for slowness.
It is taking forever to post and load. In respect of throwing me out, I have been getting internal server error.
Hmmm....
Well, we'll keep looking, but I'm not experiencing that, myself.
Anyone else?

I take that back--just had the same issue.
We're still looking at this, in case you feel abandoned,
I got the Internal Server Error tonight. Just after ten o'clock.
OK, we figured out what's causing the issue, but there isn't any magic fix for it at the moment. It should settle down pretty soon, and things will be better.
The issue we've identified WILL be fixed in a later version--hopefully not too long.

I am getting the same problems as Liverpoollass.
Glad it's not just me then
Another problem I encounter when I go to post a reply is this which comes up in the post reply box.

Does that happen just when you are quoting?
That looks like the posting page hasn't fully loaded, yet.

Hi Lori, yes I think it does.
If when you click the 'Post Reply' button you get ANYTHING other than the reply box with all the icons on the top line, then the page has not loaded properly. Usually one 'refresh' will load the page properly, but occasionally more than one refresh is needed. You will not be able to reply until the page has loaded properly, as the reply box is the last element of the total page loading.
Thanks EFFT
If am ordinary refresh screen doesn't clear the posting problem, press Ctrl-F5 instead. this will completely refresh the page. Takes slightly longer that a simple refresh, but is more reliable.
Also, when you go to a foum page and intend to make a posting, have a look at the foor of the page. It should end with the bit below the last reply (the bit which starts with Livecloud and ends with Learn More). If the page doesn't show this but stops at Post Reply (this sometimes happens to me), this means that the page hasn't loaded properly and you won't be able to post a reply. In this case as above press Ctrl-F5 to reload the page - this generally works.

LoriI hope I know the answer to this question, but thought it was worth double checking. As BB is now over, you won't be *evicting * us, will you?
Oh, my gosh, NO!!! (Unless....do you deserve to be evicted?? )
No, Baz, rest assured, you are here as long as you want to be!
I have no doubt BB will rise from the ashes.. Some other channel will jump on the bandwagon .

James, have you been reading the BB discussion thread? That's what I said, more or less.
And in any case Baz, this Gagajoyjoy forum is one of 87 channels run through the Livecloud website, and I would guess this is the most active, or certainly one of the most active, of these channels.
rather than start a new thread thought I would ask in here
does anyone else think it would be better if the BB threads were now unstickied and the X Factor discussion and Strictly Come Dancing discussion threads were stickied for the duration of their run which will be nearly till Christmas ?

I assumed because of BB the forum would slow down between 9 and 10 pm, but as very few people are on now, its still happening? It has become very difficult to post between these times....screen freezing, then cogs going round and around ...then very slow .i know i am not the only one to suffer this , thanks x
Skylark: I'll report this.
Mrs H: I see a couple of different threads for strictly, and I think more than one for x factor. Can you please give me the links for the threads you want stickied? In the meantime, I have unstickied the BB threads.

Well done MrsH and Lori. I'd been thinking over the last week or so it was time to un-sticky the BB threads. No offence to everyone who contributed to them, but to keep this forum moving onwards we should chat about other stuff and ask for it to be stickied as appropriate. Having said that Lori, I find it impossible to retrieve a thread from the archive because the search function doesn't seem to work for that.
On the subject of searching, I think many of us would find it useful if it was possible to add a function to search by reference to the user. At present we can only seach by our name where our name has been referred to in the post. (the posts listed on our personal sites only show posts on that site, not on this forum).

maybe chicken can edit the X Factor thread title ?? would you ask him please
some of us dont post but like to read later and if stickied is easier to find and keeps all the relevant info in one place
thanks Lori

Good idea, that was one facility i was used to on channel four forums.
OK, threads are stickied!
Regarding the suggestion on searching, suggestions are gladly welcome here:

Get people to vote on it, and it might show up as a feature in a future version!

And I forgot to mention: can you please let me know (via this thread is fine) when the seasons for Strictly and X Factor are finished so I can un-sticky them?

*Bumps* I'm sure someone will do that Lori
Lori, your link to help.strata above does not work as the link has picked up the full stop after com. But the Get Help at the foot of the screen will get you to the correct site.

thanks lori x
I have created a suggestion for improving the search facility on this forum. If you click here you should get to it
The more people who vote for it, the better the chances are of it being implemented. Click on the star by the votes cast to vote it up.
