Is it just me that`s having problems today? The whole page is highlighting when I try to highlight a post to reply to. I have no smilies and the icons for edit/delete/report post/permalink are not there..there`s just a small white cog looking thing. When I put my cursor over that there`s only permalink and report post icons. I`ve also been locked out receiving this message>> "We could not find a site with the id: talk.gagajoyjoy.com."      (sad face)

The icons and smilies are back now but my post above took 5 mins to go through..cogs whirling. Is it just me?

What`s happening? I went to my ticker, it`s now all to the left of the screen. The box which shows your site/ alerts etc is now on the right. Are we going through the change?

Yes, we had an update today, so you'll notice some changes.

It seems to be going pretty fast for me.  Are you still noticing a performance issue?

Apart from losing my way to the bar earlier... everything is working so fast... the clutter is gone from the forum lists... and I don't have to cancel my first post on a forum or channel before I post!!!

I have a similar problem as Blizzie. Although I can see Youtube clips which have been previosuly posted, I cannot see any which have been posted since this new update. This is a link to the new Then and Now thread on Big Brother. I cannot see the original Youtube clip and if I trying posting one myself I cannot see that either.

I am using Firefox 3.6.3 the current version, with Windows XP Professional service pack 3. However if I use Internet Explorer I am able to see the clip.

I had problems yesterday trying to get get on here but it seems okay today but having said that I havent posted in any of the threads lol,I cant find dialogs as everything seems to have been moved again .. it is confusing finding stuff on here,  I am glad the left hand side of the page has been sorted ,the forum is smaller for me since the change at the sides and top and bottom other than that the front page looks the same as it was

Ah, at last, I`m able to post in here.  Still can`t post in several threads though and keep losing the smilies and edit function etc. Demantoid and others are having the same problems.
I`m using Internet Explorer and Windows XP.

the forum is more squished up for me now. . loads of white space to the right of the posts so it's smaller than it was.. not keen on the post box colours either.. the white posts seem to meld into the grey, green or whatever colour the other box is...

the drop down menu's on the left are even more annoying now,   more  to collapse....  only used to have to collapse the UK Forums list on a refresh now I have to collapse all three.. please please put them on the right hand side like you have done in the ticker which looks much better than it did before. .cleaner and clearer... .

I use FF (most up to date version on XP) and have a add-on tool installed called coolpreviews which means I can view a link if I want without opening a tab. .(really handy little beast) with the drop down menu on the left it sometimes opens up a preview window that I don't want if my mouse is hovering over the menu and I haven't realised.. tis  bluddy annoying.. in fact ever since the left hand side menu arrived I've found it a total pain in the butt and now it's worse than ever..

I've reported the bug about not being able to view video clips.

To those of you who are having trouble posting in threads:  when you say you "can't post", what does that mean?  Do you get an error message? 

I did read about the missing smilies, etc., but what do you mean when you say the reply box is empty--you mean there are no smilies or other options?  What happens if you click the "Toggle WYSIWYG"? (I'm not suggesting that as a cure, just trying to figure out what's happening.)

Hi Lori, the "can`t post" problem doesn`t show an error message, for me anyway. The reply box is blank, no smilies etc and when you try to submit a post it`s continual whirly cogs...the post won`t go through. I coudn`t reply to you last night because of that. I`m also having a problem when trying to quote..it`s showing the post I`m replying to but there`s no area above where you would reference the poster`s name and there`s no below box to reply in. I`ve just tried your Toggle suggestion but no joy, I`m afraid. It`s taken me 10 minutes to be able to post this...it`s a hit or a miss at the moment.

Re the posting problems. Although I have not had this problem since the update, I have had exactly the same problem sometimes (but only sometimes) for months - no icons. The screen looks as if I was already in the WYSIWYG screen, but clicking on the Toggle option has no effect. As I know from experience that I will not be able to submit a reply I don't bother. There's no point in trying to Cancel and go to try Post Reply again as the same thing will happen.

However what I do is not bother to Cancel, I refresh the page. Then I try Post Reply again, and in the past this has always worked - I have the normal Post Reply screen.

I do the same as El Loro when I get the weird reply box come up.. ie the one that is in wysiwyg. .the one with no cursor in  I just move the box a bit. 

Tho I'm afraid I won't be refreshing much any more now that the Menu thingy is even huger and messier and still on the bluddy left..  it's a pain and I can't be assed trying to put up with it anymore..  

ok I had a very blonde moment and just found out I can collapse the menu on the left by one click at the very top of the list alongside 'Forums'.. doh!


 still don't like it on the left side tho

My problem seems to be the same as scottys, the reply box is blank i.e none of the little symbols are in the box, if i refresh then the box comes up but this is a pain  and how do i get rid of the adverts at the top as they are shortening my page, i'll stop moaning now  i'm giving in for today, it's too much like hard work

When I read last night (my time) that people were happy with the update I was puzzled as I couldn't see anything different, apart from the blue box left of screen which lists Forums etc. I noticed it was out of alignment from the third box down, e.g from UK Lounge downwards, and all the mis- aligned boxes/panels have a red X next to them, it's still like that today.

In this thread and a few others there's no smileys etc in the Reply box and clicking WYSIWYG doesn't alter anything. In 3 threads I tested the Reply box the smileys etc were there, so it's some but not all threads that have a problem with the Reply box. I know it will be fixed, I trust you all *smile* PS Oh the Edit button worked for me just now, first time in months so I'm happy with that lol, now I have to repost this again so fingers crossed with Edit again lol

This is a long term intermittent fault, It happens because the page does not finish loading properly, so a refresh reloads the page (which now loads properly, on MOST occasions) and you can now proceed as normal. It hasn't happened to me for quite a while now, but it had become so regular it almost became the norm.

Edit: Trying out edit. I hope if it works in here IT WON'T mean that it has stopped working in other places where it did!

So it seems like that problem has resurfaced, as I just encountered it in another thread - the one where Demantoid says that the problem she wishes to report is stopping her from posting in this thread.

OK... my initial enthusiasm is somewhat diminished. I've been trying to post pix from photobucket in James' Bar and they aren't aren't animated. It may be photobucket 'cos it seems it may be a bit faulty too... but the quote function in the Bar failed also earlier... I'm sure there are loads of bugs in the system being thrown out by the upgrade, so I'll forgive you all!  

ps. I haven't posted in Gaga tonight, so this is not an exhaustive test yet! I will do so now!
