I've got a week off work this week (great weather, lucky me). Anyway, I had a not-so-good day on Sunday down at the rip off that is Wembley Stadium. In my opinion the FA should hang their heads in shame at so blatantly ripping people off. £5.80 for a cheeseburger that consisted of an anaemic looking bun, a cheese slice and a gristle-laden burger than my son forced down because he was hungry, throwing about £1.50 of it away because it was so unpalatable. £1.20 for a Mars bar. £4.30 for a bottle of Carlsberg lager. Okay, so if we hadn't lost 5-0 then maybe the cost of all these things might have been worth it but when you're on the losing side it just rubs salt into the wound!
Then yesterday I had a day out in Blackpool. Eight hours parking costs £9.00. Another rip off because they then expect you to go and spend your hard earned cash in their town - the least they could do is have reasonably priced parking like they always used to.
I'm on a mission this week as I'm out and about to find the worst rip off but I think it will be hard to top that cheeseburger.
