60's and 70's. Motown, Stones, Beatles and Hendrix.

80's. Best music ever and so many prolific bands. The music scene has been largely crap ever since.

Saw Blondie when they supported Television.

I loved being a 70 kid, life was uncomplicated and fun.
I hated the 80s at the time, but look back on it with some nostalgia these days.
The 90s were good, but a bit of a low point musically.
The Noughties were bliddy awful. Can only hope the Teenies improve on it.

The 80's will always be my decade of choice music wise. Mind you, I also love everything from the 50's onwards. I stop at the 90's though, with a few exceptions. If I could go back it would be to the 80s so that I could see all the acts I was too young to see back then!!! But..then I think, would I go back to the days of Billy Fury and all that and enjoy??!!! The 50s had by far the best fashion....so glamorous and feminine.

Very interesting thread. I still go by the adage that there are two types of music, good and bad. It's easy to dismiss the late fifties to early sixties as Bill Haley, Elvis Presley, dross. It was only later in my life I discovered Bee-Bop, Dolphy, Mingus, Coltrane, Davis and such. The same theory applies to every decade, there's always something good going on. IMO obviously.
