There is a big banquet at the end of the series.
in the run up to it they have professional chefs compete within their region starter, fish, main, desert.
A winner from each region goes to the final and then the best dish from catergory goes through to the banquet.
I love it!
Keith Floyd paved the way
Food became fun.

her programmes might still be on iplayer if you want a squizz she's a down to earth kind of cook and I like that
Saturday Kitchen (let's get Rawky to do the omelette challenge ).
I like seeing the old clips of Floyd, Stein etc., and a bit of live cooking in the studio.
I like Nigel Slater too.
I like most cooking programmes, Hells Kitchen is an entertainment (Of sorts) programme and gives me indigestion.....
I like Masterchef, but I don't like how they messed with the format for the last series. Love how you get to see cooks at audition and how they progress through the stages.
I like The Great British Menu.

Masterchef on now.....Have any of you prepared a whole fresh crab?.....I haven't, looks fiddly and daunting.....

I have loads of cookery books, look at them for ideas, but rarely follow a recipe.....Good Housekeeping ones are hard to beat imo

I have done them and I liked them......another thing I was shocked I liked was peeled cucumber cut into large chunks and added to a curry, I thought they would disintegrate and go watery, but they were lovely and refreshing and held their shape.
