So I have some experience of women's shoes. I did however enjoy going round the shops with her. It was a build up to having a meal and drink after.
Sounds like a nice friendship

Oh it is, well kind of was, she very recently moved a reasonable distance away and we already see less of each other. I do miss her.
I would go for comfort every time.... in fact I only really do boots in winter and sandals in summer....
Exactly this^^^^^. I have the odd pair of posh shoes but they don't come out often and don't stay on for long
I live in flat shoes it makes it so much worse when I wear heels for a night out etc cos I'm not used to them
ÂĢ450 Summer!?!? And if you're anything like me i bet you will end up taking them off at every opportunity possible for a little 'rest' lol Flog them i say and enjoy your Next ones that dont kill you.

I'd second that or at the very least DO NOT WEAR THEM WITH SOCKS at the wedding
Loubutin or not - it won;t be a good look with socks
It's the platform sole that makes them more comfortable, I can't wear heels unless they have a platform sole.
If my feet ache, I am miserable, so it's comfort over fashion every time for me.
I seriously think my feet hate shoes, I'm surprised I don't get blisters from slippers
Lil Aims has just started going out clubbing and went to buy some shoes "she's normally seen in football boots, converse, vans etc" and she comes home with these heels that are about 8" high, I said she looked like a transvestite, she wasn't amused she could sit on the kitchen worktop without having to jump up she's now bought some wedges that she can walk in

I'm the same. I seriously hate having to buy new shoes - I wore a pair for five minutes at my girlies party last week - they matched my outfit to perfection - literally after 5 mins I sent Mr woo home to get my boots.
Winkle Pickers?
I'm desperate to get some nude coloured shoes for my niece's wedding - trouble is I have arthritic knees so can't wear high ones - I don't really like any of the ballet pump ones I've seen either - as it's in August I'm hoping I might get some nice sandals but it's in Ireland and it always seems to rain in Ireland

not bad at all erin - will keep them on my list - thank you
Clarks have them too better quality.
there's a couple there that I like
Can't fashion also be comfortable?
I'm a shoe fan. Got way too many and have had to hide some from the OH coz he gives me the death stare when a delivery of new shoes comes. So I've said I've sold loads on ebay (I actually have....but not as many as he thinks) so that I can replace them with the ones that I know are comfy (from viva la diva....like I said in the other thread).
I've wasted way too much money on shoes that have never seen the outside of my bedroom and I'm actually more sensible now when buying shoes.
I love the warmer weather though as it means I can live in flat sandals for months Heaven.
I said she looked like a transvestite, she wasn't amused
I go for a bit of both. I do like an aul strut in a pair of heels But I couldn't go for the really high stilletos. I see the 'youngsters' going out in them and they can hardly hold themselves up...we need a training college for heels
Generally I go for comfort these days, but do draw the line at wearing trackie- bottoms outside for anything other than exercise!
Edit: Just read the other posts and realised it's about shoes! I go for comfort there as well, unless it's for work, where I wear my Doc Martin shoes which are still not fully worn-in after a year of wear!
Pengy I saw some nice lowish heel nude patent shoes in BHS - real bargain at ÂĢ25.
Comfort!
I've never worn stiletto heels in my life... except when practising up + down the hall in my Mum's ones as a child. That was enough for me. They're dangerous.

I've just bought these - thought of you.
I struggle to wear some flatties more than 5" stiletto heels at times but I think it really depends on the quality of material more than anything. Last pair of pumps I tried on had me hopping in agony.
That said, I like flat leather flip flops or sandals with all the sparkly beads etc in the summer. Got my eye on a pair right now in fact
I'm a bit of an anorak and store all my shoes in their original boxes and/or in those clear perspex types.

I do believe I may have bookmarked the page ; just a sec and I'll go find the photo.
These are what I fancy, although I'm not sure about the flappy chains - they could get annoying
Its not always heels that give you sore feet,I wore Ballet pumps and my feet ached. In saying that I had them on the wrong feet.
You would never get these on the wrong feet.
I actually SAW someone wearing these today!!
Couldn't believe it, they look even worse in real life. I was going into Tesco and these 2 Scottish men passed me and one was wearing these but in a more black/grey combo.
