Sounds like a nice friendship

Oh it is, well kind of was, she very recently moved a reasonable distance away and we already see less of each other. I do miss her.

Ooh good thread! I'm trying to break in a pair of shoes to wear at a christening next month, I wore them to a wedding last year and they utterly killed my feet! They're nude louboutins and cost me ÂĢ450! I have a very similar pair from next that cost me ÂĢ30 and are very comfy, I've worn them everywhere I feel a bit obligated to wear the fancy ones to special occasions but I really just want to flog them on eBay! I'm hoping that wearing them around the house with socks on will help break them in properly.. I would strongly advise anyone to go with comfort over fashion!

I'd second that or at the very least DO NOT WEAR THEM WITH SOCKS at the wedding

Loubutin or not - it won;t be a good look with socks

It's the platform sole that makes them more comfortable, I can't wear heels unless they have a platform sole.

Lol quite right girls! I had to take them off at the wedding meal and swap them for flat shoes, then some drunk creepy shoe perv asked me where my fabulous shoes had gone! I should be ok if I don't have to walk far, but I think I'll keep my other shoes in the car just in case The hidden platform in the next heels are brilliant, and the rounder toes are definitely more comfy than the pointy ones

Lil Aims has just started going out clubbing and went to buy some shoes "she's normally seen in football boots, converse, vans etc" and she comes home with these heels that are about 8" high, I said she looked like a transvestite, she wasn't amused  she could sit on the kitchen worktop without having to jump up  she's now bought some wedges that she can walk in

I'm the same. I seriously hate having to buy new shoes - I wore a pair for five minutes at my girlies party last week - they matched my outfit to perfection - literally after 5 mins I sent Mr woo home to get my boots.

I'm desperate to get some nude coloured shoes for my niece's wedding - trouble is I have arthritic knees so can't wear high ones - I don't really like any of the ballet pump ones I've seen either - as it's in August I'm hoping I might get some nice sandals but it's in Ireland and it always seems to rain in Ireland

I'm a shoe fan.  Got way too many and have had to hide some from the OH coz he gives me the death stare when a delivery of new shoes comes.  So I've said I've sold loads on ebay (I actually have....but not as many as he thinks) so that I can replace them with the ones that I know are comfy (from viva la diva....like I said in the other thread).

I've wasted way too much money on shoes that have never seen the outside of my bedroom and I'm actually more sensible now when buying shoes.

I love the warmer weather though as it means I can live in flat sandals for months  Heaven.

Generally I go for comfort these days, but do draw the line at wearing trackie- bottoms outside for anything other than exercise!

Edit: Just read the other posts and realised it's about shoes!  I go for comfort there as well, unless it's for work, where I wear my Doc Martin shoes which are still not fully worn-in after a year of wear!

I struggle to wear some flatties more than 5" stiletto heels at times but I think it really depends on the quality of material more than anything.  Last pair of pumps I tried on had me hopping in agony.

That said, I like flat leather flip flops or sandals with all the sparkly beads etc in the summer.  Got my eye on a pair right now in fact

I'm a bit of an anorak and store all my shoes in their original boxes and/or in those clear perspex types.

You would never get these on the wrong feet.

I actually SAW someone wearing these today!!

Couldn't believe it, they look even worse in real life.  I was going into Tesco and these 2 Scottish men passed me and one was wearing these but in a more black/grey combo.
