Nothing could beat the original

but the apes from 2001 A Space Odyssey beat all costume competitions. A tremendous acting job.

Apparently the CGI technology makes these apes look real James..

I very rarely like remakes because they fail to live up to expectation.

The only recent exception is the newish Battlestar Galactica that was on a couple of years ago - that was better than the original 

The last interpretation with Mark E Mark was quite poor so I guess this film will ignore that one.  Or maybe not?

Apparently 2001.. missed out on the OSCAR because it was thought that they were real apes so POTA won it
