My sister has had them done when she goes on holidays

she found no problem

But my daughter had them done for her formal and she didnt like them

so bet that is a big help

why would you want fake toenails, i can understand fake fingernails but not toenails

I got some, as I'm going on hols in 2 weeks and I had a toe infection a few weeks ago called 'paronychia', which sort of corrodes the toenail at the cuticle and stops that specific cycle of growth! So it looks awful, I got some today and put them on, they have been fine so far but I have been wearing flip flops, does anyone know how long they last or if they are comfortable with socks and shoes.

I was thinking of getting the gel tip on my toes as well, but the gel nails are not as durable as acrylics.

They looked lovely Karma ....They'd been French Manicured were a nice length and looked very realistic tbh more so than fake fingernails.

I dont understand why people would want them Karma I dont even like the normal fake nails

Irish Princess, if you have an infection on the nailbed itself, I wouldn't recommend putting nail glue anywhere near it. Surely it couldn't do your poor toes any good.

Karms, I've never even had a manicure

At the minute the nails on my right hand are all the same mid length and are nicely shaped... on my left hand they are all bitten down so I can press the strings properly when I'm playing guitar

The infection cleared up long ago, but I have a small portion of new nail about 6mm and the remainder of the old nail so there is a split in the middle and looks terrible!

YUCK, the thought of fake toe nails turns my stomach.

If you want them to look nice naturally, try a minx application. I had it done to my toes 5 weeks ago, and its still looking good.

As the rest of them said what are the point in fake toenails, this one said why can you not sort out your own toe-nails.

My Sis had them done a few weeks ago cos she had her toe nails removed due to an infection and they have never grew back! They lasted weeks and she's had them done since, I think it's worth it in the summer months when you have your feet on show.

Yeh thats why I got them! It takes the guts of 6 months for a big toenail to grow back fully! I read somewhere it grow's 1/16th of an inch a month!

She had hers removed well over 2 years ago. They looked awful too, she's always had rank feet

Now they look really nice, they looks really natural too.

Lucky for me I only had it on one toe and it's started to grow back!

Is hers stuck on the skin?

I presume so cos she had hardly any nail left on her big toes. They would seriously hurt pulling them off

Which is a valid point! Surely if you have infected toe nails, putting fake ones over the top is going to make them either worse, or prolong the infection.

Or if you had read the entire thread you would see that it is the result of an infection which has went away...

A few years back I went through a salon nail phase, and I was always gobsmacked when someone came in and got their toes done as well.

Wouldn't really work properly for me - on both my little toes, there's almost no nail at all to graft a fake one onto.
