I'll admit, I use Facebook, but not avidly.

I have 14 friends. I have only the people I want as a friend and don't accept anyone. Anyone who makes a friend request has to wait my 2 week decision period.

Not all of my friends are on Facebook or all of my family.

I have only one current work colleague as a friend.

I have a number of ex-work colleagues as friends.

I have one celebrity, one superhero and a lingerie model on my friends list.

If you are a user, tell us about your Facebook habits, friends and anything else you fancy sharing with us all.

P.S. the celebrity, superhero and lingerie model were not the whole truth ...or was it?

You see I can't have anyone join my inner circle, I cannot accept anyone who will bombard me with nonsense and trivia.

My methods are tried and tested

I have mostly old friends on there and some Channel 4 folk and a few people from here.

There are some family members on there who get on my nerves but I won't delete them because I'm too nosey and once they're added it's hard to delete them without a whole 'why'd you do that' carry on so I keep them and find myself  at their posts on a regular basis.

There are a few old school friends who I have spent a lot of time chatting with on facebook but who I never really paid much attention to in school and I wish I had.

I don't usually send requests and don't accept many r/l people these days as they're usually from people who would see you in the street and not say hello.  I do accept requests from people who I cross post with on facebook if we're forever chatting on other people's statuses and they send a request.  I accept forum friend requests too because I don't mind the majority of you  and it's always nice to put a real face to the forum name.

I have loads of r/l people on 'restricted' aswell.  There's a lot of them who are just nosey but I feel too bad deleting them because I see them regularly so I just limit what I post to 'all friends' and mainly post to a custom setting.

I deactivated my account years ago and reactivated recently (candycrush!!! I no longer play that or any other games and the invites play those games annoy me!)

I find I log in daily now. I have 150'ish friends. I follow a science account, upworthy, cooking tips, an anti vivisection page and loads of selling/bargin pages.

My niece came up with a good way of 'clearing out' people she did not want. She deleted her account, left it a while, then start it up anew only adding those she wanted... bit miffed that I am no longer in her friend list

How do you manage that many friends?

Don't you get masses of messages?

My partner did that.  Then my friends started asking me why he had deleted them.  Your niece probably doesn't want you seeing the things she's up to, even if it's nothing bad.

I think you have to be quite honest and hard with people and tell them straight when it comes to FB. I did/do and people seem to accept it.

My niece has my sister and her own brother on. But you may be right.

I hate seeing people with 1000+ friends and who moan about people talking about them.  There's no way they know 1000+ people well enough to have them as friends on facebook.  My cousin loooooves to say 'there's some nosey bast*rds on here' even though she has lose to 1300 friends and posts every detail of her life on there.

its actually closer to 170 i just looked.

It's not hard, a lot are people i went to school with. Big families on both sides and other mums at the kids school. As for messages, i tend not to get many pms other than sis in law and niece. And if someone constantly posts drivel i do delete them.

Jen-Star

I've got 188 friends and there are only 3 or 4 people who send me PMs on a regular basis.

I'm a nosey person.  I like reading people's big news or seeing their pics of their kids or wedding etc but I get a bit annoyed at people who post 'watching corrie' or 'having a cuppa in the kitchen' on a regular basis.  And there are 2 different people who post 'I'm so bored' nearly every effing day of the week.

You are making me hate facebook now.

Ells

I have probably offended loads of people as I only really registered in desperation when I was once banned from Ch4. I use it quite often for games and have really random friends (some of whom I have no idea who they are). I have never consciously accepted friends requests - my grandson once accepted a whole load on my behalf ( I got into real hot water over that) as I accepted a friends ex wife but never responded to him

TBH - I don't really get it or fully understand how it works - if I've rejected or declined anyone on here it's never been personal or deliberate - I just don't understand it. No offence to anyone was ever intended.

I love the games but I think FB can cause more hassle than it's worth!

Probably best not to ask EC *runsssssssssssssssss*

I'm afraid that the nosey parker in me is just too curious now.

Like Soozy, I only ended up on there because Channel 4 kept banning me and I really don't use it much or understand how to use it!

Anyway, I just found three Friends requests- One from my son and two from two of my sisters. I have accepted them.

Someones just left you a message, it came up on news feed
