Sorry Renton I went through the ID proccess one..FB are virtually impossible to contact on a personal level..one woman tracked across America to complain and was told so what we have someone come from Canada....

So thats a "no" then?

You can X out of that.  Hover your cursor beside the game you're playing to find the X.  It will give you options and click on the Don't Show.......(not sure exactly what it says) each time it shows you are playing a game.  This should at least take your name off it.

I see that but there's only another couple of games I play and not so regularly!

All you have to do is send an email to disabled@facebook.com inquiring about the reason that they disabled your account for (usually it’s a hater reporting your profile to be in violation of the EULA of Facebook) and explain your willingness to remove the violating content and if it was just a “clerical error” to reactivate your account.

Other accounts to “CC” in your email:

• info@fb.com
• appeals@fb.com

 

 

Most common reasons for Account disabling?

• Porn
• Showing too much cleavage if you are a women but men can almost get away with anything — love the commitment to the status quo of society!
• Adding too many friends, too quickly, getting a warning for it and ignoring it.
• Spamming
• You didn’t use your real name that is on your birth certificate!
• Browsing too much of Facebook too often, mostly due to apps like Snap2Face and others like it.
• and many many more!

I now have a 'real' name on there...well kinda

I dont see how we can TBH - if they dont allow the old account back - it will all be lost 

 

They dont seem to have any system for doing what they are doing - some instant disable - some obviously getting a warning or suspension and adjusting their names 

 

There is an aweful lot of name changing going on today - just wish we had all been offered it if we hadnt posted or done anything else wrong 

 

One good thing I see from it though is that a lot more peeps are finding  lost forum friends so guess it isnt all bad 

  Facebook are really going at it aren't they?  I'm finding it all very strange.

I do find it v strange that, other than those from/connected to here, I don't know of this happening to anyone else on FB who has a 'made up name' 

Its awful - i've lost A LOT of kind and sentimental stuff

just to clarify I am not griping at peeps given the opportunity - my grudge is with FB and the way they have dealt with this problem 

The only ones I see it happening to are the C4 people but then again I don't have many other friends who have made up names.  Well there are some gamer friends who I assume have made up names but they are made to sound like real names if you know what I mean.

I hadn't thought of all the photos and stuff that are on peoples accounts...that's really sh*t!

if you go to account settings..    at the bottom in very small faint type there is an option to back up your FB account...   its posts & photos that it archives & you can save

I truly hope this is the beginning of the end of FaceBook
