Dunno how relevant this is or if it's just a coincidence but Barney posted on her wall about a Pony Sanctuary she supports.

I made some wisecrack about them having a hard time of it if FB wanted to see a birth certificate and the next thing their account was frozen or pulled or summat.

Barney said it wasn't my fault but I felt terrible. Thankfully they have now got it back - or opened another one I'm not sure which - so no harm done.

I dunno if it was just a coincidence or if someone is keeping tabs on Friend lists and hitting report everytime they see a name that could be false.

Flipping sucks though whether it is targetted or random. What does it matter if people have made up names as long as they are not doing any harm with them

I honestly have big questions in my head about this. I mean surely its your right to call yourself what you want. There might be a million reasons why you many not want to be easily found on facebook.  I dont know how they can legally make you declare your full name.

UPDATE - i wrote to FaceBook explaining often people will use an assumed name for good reason.

Kids who have been bullied - people who have been harrassed and want a quiet life etc ...

I know there have been issues with kids being bullied in the past....but with your facebook account you can choose to not receive messages from people not on your list, you can also opt out of friend requests (meaning you can only add people if you want to). So security wise, you can totally lock down your account so you don't get a load of crap from people you don't want to hear from, so direct harrassment could be practically non existent. If someone is running from someone or in some kind of witness protection scheme, I wouldn't have thought they would be on facebook anyway? And if they are, they can use a plethora of different names and just tell those they trust who they really are.

My friends list isn't that big but it's been going up and down like a yo-yo this past few weeks. .and all the accounts going were old C4 peeps and also on Gaga too. .non of the C4 ones went that don't use Gaga but have old C4 names . .tis weird..
