Saint - It's always been one of the (few) rules of F*c*book accounts that you use your real name. I know it's a privacy pain, but remember that's the whole point about F*c*book: you're the product , not the customer. I know many people don't use their real names, but they are therefore in breach of T&Cs and FB can happily purge those accounts (an I believe they frequently do).
It's because of privacy concerns that I use FB as little as possible, and am careful about settings and personal details. I use my real name on FB (as the site runs around friend requests, I didn't see the point otherwise), but for other personal details I either don't submit them, or else use false info. DOB's the big problem: I absolutely refuse to have my DOB public as it's often used for security checks. However FB get funny about DOB's as they get so much flack over underage accounts.
