Of the two I want City to win mainly because a friend of mine is a United fan and he hates my team (Sheffield Wednesday) and an old school friend who now lives in Manchester decided to take his son to his first football match - they chose City over United - so for him also. Hope we have not jinxed it.

Sorry to hear you are feeling under the weather GJ.

Here's hoping things get better for you soon.

Ha Ha missed that EC, bad?.... Wigan's button holes are pretty tacky!

Good chance for an early goal for Wigan there, looks like it could be an exciting match

It was a grey jacket with red dots which became slightly more concentrated as they went down - a bit of a shocker.

Fairly open so far.

Blimey, sounds cheerful!

Yes, nothing in it so far, they played each other in the league recently and my fella thought Wigan were the better side even though City managed a 1-0 win

I saw Wigan play Everton, they can hold their own and beat sides if they want to. I just feel Man City have players who can produce a bit of magic when needed.

Two good efforts by Tevez there and a lucky save

Ha Ha, bless him, Mowbray wasn't first in the queue when they handed out the looks, nice guy 'though

Whilst I want City, I also want a decent match. Wigan need to make more of their chances 'though

All square at half time - that seems fair to me on balance of play.

I think one team has to go for it at some point.

I think there'll need to be some serious team talk in City's dressing room, they really can do a lot better that this, Wigan seem to want it more

For most of City's attacks, Wigan seem to get plenty of men behind the ball making it difficult for City to get a clear shot. I notice that they have had to keep working the ball across the box looking for an opening.

Yes, and on closer inspection, seems Wigan should have had a pen' that could have made a v big difference going in at half time

Would have had to make City come at them.

Footballers make me laugh.

They certainly didn't seem to be having an unfriendly chat EC. Reckon whoever gets the first goal is going to win this
