They announced their engagement in November, just eight months after going public with their romance, and Geri Halliwell and Christian Horner looked blissfully happy as they rang in 2015 together in St Lucia. 

The former Spice Girl and her Formula One boss fiance have been enjoying a luxurious post-Christmas vacation on the Caribbean island and were spotted snuggling up together on a sunlounger as they snapped some selfies. 

Geri and Christian, 41, appeared happier than ever, despite recent claims that his family will not be attending their nuptials. 

'You can say that his parents are absolutely devastated. We won’t be going to the wedding,' a family friend recently told the Sunday Mirror of the engagement.

'They’re very upset by everything that has gone on and feel as though their loyalties are very divided.'

According to the paper, Christian's parents Garry and Sara do not approve of their son's new romance after he left partner of 14 years, Beverley Allen, months after the birth of their first child Olivia.

Christian is also step-father to his former partner's two sons Kieron, 25, and Liam, 21, from a previous relationship.

Geri has her own eight-year old daughter Bluebell from her relationship with American screenwriter Sacha Gervasi.

Christian is believed to have spent Christmas with Beverly and their one-year-old before he and Geri jetted out of Gatwick Airport together just a few days later.

Geri and Christian announced their engagement with a £324 advertisement in the Births, Marriages and Deaths page in The Times newspaper in November.
