It is reckoned that Schumacher not setting a time in Q3 was a clever ploy as this will allow him to choose which tyres to start on. While the 9 ahead of him have to start on the tyres they were using when they set their fastest Q3 time.
The top ten cars will all be starting on soft tyres.
All cars get away OK. Alonso storms to P1 up the outside.
Vettel tries to slip in behind Webber, but with Alonso's charge Webber slips to P3 and Vettel slots into P2.
