Raikkonen has a blistering start, but has a spell on the grass so is not as high as expected. Hamilton makes up a few places but is stalled by Alonso and Kubica gets past.

Some weirdo on the China-on-line daily claims that F1 is fixed and that Jenson Button already won the Silverstone race before it happened. He didn't win though. Why did Jenson only start to get going at the end of the race? I was so excited I hoped he would come in fifth or fourth but no.
I think it's all to do with the combination of tyre compound and fuel load. Too heavy on fuel - and it negates the advantage of the right tyres.
Have the wrong tyres - and it negates the advantage of a lighter fuel load.
So if you have the wrong tyres AND the wrong fuel load it is dreadful, but if you manage to get the right tyres and fuel load at the same time, then it is so sweet.

Well, it seems that all is sweetness and light once more in the Fi camp. There will only be one GP series and Max Mosely will not be standing for re-election. Not to be confused with 'standing down', which he is quite adamant he is not doing.
Virgin set to end Brawn link-up
Branson joined forces with Brawn GP before the Australian Grand Prix
Virgin boss Sir Richard Branson says his company are unlikely to sponsor Formula 1 team Brawn GP next season because it will be too expensive.
Virgin helped Brawn GP get off the ground when they formed after Honda pulled out of F1 in December 2008.
But the team's success is set to see their sponsorship rates rise.
"I suspect next year the price will be astronomical and we may have to look somewhere else with a smaller team," Branson told Radio 5 Live's Sportsweek.
