The bunching of the field behind the Safety Car has benefitted Vettel who was up to fourteenth just after the Safety Car came in and is now 12th. Alonso and Buemi have had a big fight for 15th/16th place. Buemi won originally, but Alonso'back in front now.

Liuzzi's just had a big smash....wheels flying across the track....the session has been stopped with 14 minutes and 30 seconds of Q1 still to go.
Prior to the stoppage Hamilton, who crashed in practise and lost a lot of practise time laid down a P4 time.

We're underway again. Liuzzi's out of his car OK, but is not likely to be taking any further part in the proceedings.
Although the track is. on the whole, dry there are a few patches of wetness just off the main line.
