Alonso has another go at Hamilton and hits Hamilton's rear wheel and loses part of his front wing - he pits for a new nose and is P7 now.

Alonso has been called to the stewards over the collision with Hamilton, but apparently this is standard proceedure and my result in nothing happening.

McLaren's Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari's Fernando Alonso have been hit with 20-second penalties following a collision in Sunday's Malaysian Grand Prix.
The verdict means that Hamilton drops from seventh to eighth place, although Alonso retains sixth.
Hamilton's penalty was for making more than one change of direction while defending in the build-up to the clash. Alonso's was for causing a collision.
Alonso clipped the McLaren when trying to pass Hamilton after Turn Three.

Maldonado's flying lap takes him to P12 and it's Barrichello who's in danger now.

Perez improves, but only to P11
Petrov's car has mysteriously come to a halt in the middle of the track - the session has been halted with 2 minutes and two seconds to go.
The rules say that the car can't be recovered to the pits and put back out - so it looks like Petrov willbe starting tomorrow's race in tenth place, as he HAS qualified for Q3.
Replay of the incident shows Petrov's car just dies under him.

Session about to restart and they are all lined up in the pit lane, Perez has managed to be at the front.
The cars are now basically racing as they try and get a good position for their flying lap. They are all only likely to get one flying lap in as there is very little time left and most of it will be used on the out-lap.
There are 11 cars on track and they all managed to start their flying laps before the flag came down.

Button gets a better start than Vettel and is P1. Hamilton slips past too, after a bit of jinking back and forth.
Rosberg nearly gets past Vettel too. They tussle for a few corners, but Vettel remains P3 and Rosberg P4.
Webber, starting from 18th, quickly gets up toP17 and now passes Perez for P16.
Massa gets ahead of Alonso and Webber is now P15.
Kobayashi passes Alguersuari ina great plume of l0cked-tyre smoke, but Alguersuari lost places at the start, so Kobayashi only up to P10, but is already pressing Schumacher for P9.
