The safety issues are a given for me, I side with those who say that these cars are so complex to drive, it is better to remove a lot of the guess work from drivers trying to work out or around issues, let the pit crew tell them and let the drivers get on with driving. Yes there are still things for the drivers to do like break balance, engine mode changes etc, fundamentally let them race.

Nobody watch the GP?

Not live so I had to do catch-up on-line. Qualifying was spoilt for me by a so called friend telling me the the grid and then Channel 4 did a great job of spoiling the actual race by showing lots of videos and text when you click trying to find the highlights. I had worked out what happened from the glimpses on the site.

No surprise that Lewis will be starting from the back after engine changes.

Ferrari seem unsettled (Vettel).

Williams seem a bit "Meh"

Karun had some encouraging news about McLaren for next year. Suggestions being that they could make some significant leaps forward in areas like aero and engine. Hinting that they may closet he gap at the top end. Fingers crossed they do. Would love to see a McLaren in top 6.

How did I miss that DC in Glasgow thing??????

@Extremely Fluffy Fluffy Thing

I'm on +1 and they just ran that piece in Glasgow.

As seems to be the case with Channel 4 (and Jones at the helm), the build up to the piece was far greater than the content.

There was almost no car content, save a few donuts, not driving around the streets of Glasgow, very disappointing.

But there was plenty of film about Coulthard effusing about Glasgow and engaging in selfies with the fans and chatting with fans.

All in all a disappointing piece for me which could have showcased Glasgow more and had lots more Coulthard/car content.

The whole piece felt about 1:30s in length, less time than it will take for a Manor car to get to the first corner at Spa
