Big Brother 2015, Kieran

Hi Kieran! How are you feeling this morning?
"I'm still here, I'm still smiling. I'm not going to lie, I'm a bit surprised that I've been evicted – if it was an eviction, whatever it was. It was a big surprise, a big twist. But then it is what it is, and I've enjoyed the experience. I'm still smiling and we're here today."

Are you annoyed about the way it happened?
"I'm not one to speculate and everyone was a pawn in the whole game. And if they felt like they had to twist things to spice stuff up, then there's nothing I can do. But at the same time, let the games begin, and who knows? I might come back in, who knows? So let's wait and see."

Would you be up for going back in?
"Hell yes! I didn't even want to come out in the first place! It's one of those things, isn't it, it's the inevitable. I didn't have any control over anything. But what I can do is just love the fanbase that I have got and appreciate that I had a chance of going in in the first place."

Have you had a lot of good support since you came out?
"I mean, I've had nothing but crazy love at the minute to be honest. Thank you to the whole fanbase, everyone who's following me and supports me and believes that I'm a genuine, honest, bubbly, happy-go-lucky kid. I can't really complain with that."

The nominations were flipped – does it annoy you that your housemates didn't vote for you to go?
"No, it's part and parcel of the game. No-one don't know what's going to take place, how it's going to happen. I can't lie, when I saw it reversed I was like, 'Okay, so now I'm on the back foot, and whatever's going to take place is going to take place'. There's nothing you can do. When the first surprise happened, I was like, 'Jesus Christ!' But I said to myself, 'Well, that's not it, there's got to be more to come'. When we were sitting outside, Harriet went and Danny came back, then they skipped Sarah and went straight to me so at that point I thought to myself, 'Wow, okay, am I coming back or am I not coming back?' And the decision was, I'm sitting right here talking to you."

It was kind of intense.
"Yeah, it was intense. It was a bit emotional at times, and I'm not going to say I am not a bit annoyed, but it's part and parcel of the game and like I said, who knows what's going to happen?"

Immediately after you left, did you see Danny was really upset?
"I didn't see it – I only heard that he was. We had a bromance going on. Me and him clicked like white on rice, bees on honey. It was kind of a good thing that we had. And obviously for them to throw new people in as replacements for the other housemates, I heard that he was a bit upset and a bit emotional. But at the same time, I know he's a strong, mental, positive guy and he'll just do what he's been doing since he's been there."

Apparently he's clashing with new housemate Marc – will he be able to hold his own?
"Most definitely. Obviously Marc is all fart and no poo, ain't he? Obviously he wants to go in there and be the alpha male and stir shit up, which probably that's what they're looking for. But at the same time, if I was in the house and he came with that attitude and wanted to give it the lairy, there's two ways to skin a cat. Sometimes you let people talk what they want to talk and let them calm down, and sooner or later they fade into the shadows. He wants to make an entrance and make a name for himself and I suppose he's done that. Time will tell, and we'll see how he gets on in there."

You did become the father figure in the house - you said to Emma you didn't expect that to happen.
"No! I was the second oldest in the house and I always saw everyone dealing with certain issues in different ways. I always look at things at a different angle or always try and find a different route to resolve a problem, and people always came to me and asked, 'Kieran, what do you think?' Or if I'd seen someone doing something I'd say, 'How do you feel about going this way or doing it that way?' People could always relate and respect what I say and they'd go, 'Kieran, I love the way you speak to me in a positive way and I understand what you say, I take it into consideration, I always want to do better'. I just happened to fall in that role. I didn't want to, but that's what happened. I was looking at it like this – if you can always share what knowledge you've got and make a person feel better in what they're doing in their everyday routine, it's flawless isn't it?"

Emma suggested you guys were getting on too well. Is that true?
"I knew from day one - I knew for a fact that something was going to happen because everyone was getting on too well. I went into the Diary Room loads of times and said, 'You guys are really funny', because they poked and probed and did anything to cause the animosity and the tension to stir up. But at the same time, if you're going to put in everyone that's on the same page, people are not going to kick off. Don't get me wrong – if they threw me back into the mix and people are getting above themselves, there's a way of doing certain things. If I was in the mix right now and Marc came at me like that, it would have been a different story because he would have been shut down straight away."

Some people were saying you got quite involved in the Danny and Sarah thing – were you quite invested in that or were you just trying to give them advice?
"With Danny and Sarah, I knew for a fact that they liked each other – anyone could see that. I look at it like this – it was none of my business. If they wanted to get together, they wanted to get together. If they didn't want to get together, they didn't want to get together. All I did was I just arranged a meeting, that's all I did. Whatever they wanted to do, they wanted to do. But I knew deep down they both liked each other, but being on TV they didn't want to expose too much. So that's why they had that kind of hate and love issue. Really, I knew what it was."

Did you feel a bit like Cupid?
"Yeah, something like that! You can always help when you can, can't you? So that's what I did. And then at the same time I just let them get on with it and do what they have to do."

A lot of the housemates seemed to struggle with Jade whereas you gave her advice. Do you think the house ganged up on her a bit?
"People are going to always think what they want to think and people are going to have their opinions on who they're going to have their opinions on. The situation that occurred with Jade, she said something out of context regarding the twins and it escalated into something else. If you get found out bitching behind somebody's back and then you get exposed for it, obviously it's going to stir s**t up. I said to Jade, 'Look, I don't have a problem with you – just because people may think different stuff of you, I'm not going to think different of you, but what you did I don't respect. If you've got a problem, speak to them face to face and have an understanding'.

"As to other people agreeing and siding up with the twins and people saying, 'We don't like what you did', that's entirely up to them. I can't speak for anybody else – if people found out they were against Jade because of what she did, that's their valid reason and there's nothing I could do and say. But they kissed and made up and they got it done. I think Jade's a lovely girl. I knew where she was coming from. That's why when I broke it down to her - sometimes you've got to get along to go along."

If you had stayed in the house, who would you have nominated?
"I think I would have put Joel up to be honest. There are certain things that have been happening that are a bit much. I was kind of struggling for someone else. But Joel, he was in the line of fire straight away."

Why?
"With the incident with Aaron, Aaron crossed the mark, and like I said to everybody – Joel's 19, but he's a very educated boy. He knows right from wrong. But then at the same time, there are certain behaviours and certain things he was doing that I felt he could have been a bit more considerate, and I told him this already. When Adjoa got evicted, he burst out laughing and I didn't respect that because it was the first eviction and you could have a bit more respect and a bit more consideration. He said it was a nervous laugh and I said, 'Fair enough, I understand that, but there's a time and a place for it, because if you were doing anything to do with politics and someone said something, you're not going to burst out laughing, are you?' He goes, 'Okay, I understand', so that was it."

So you sorted it out but were still thinking of nominating him?
"Yeah, because then the incident occurred with Aaron. When Aaron got booted out, he was gutted and I was like, 'Okay, cool, fine, sit down, relax and get your head together'. I understand that, obviously he's going to be alright. And then later on that night, he was walking up and down in women's clothes. I don't have a problem with that – if you want to do that, fair enough, but the incident's only just occurred. I thought you would at least give it a day to just chill out a bit. But clearly he didn't. A lot of people felt the same way as well. I don't know, I just felt he could have had a bit more consideration. But he's still 19, he's still young, so obviously he was alright and he'd got over the situation, everything was okay."

We saw Simon go back in last night – would you have wanted to live with him again?
"I spoke to Simon for 20 minutes – I didn't get to speak to him much really, and a lot of people thought he might be irritating. But I don't go off face value – I go off getting to know a person. He could be a great housemate. That's just how he is – or it could be a front. I don't know, and no-one's going to know until you actually live with someone. Only time will tell – we'll see how people get on with him in the house."

You said before you went into the house you expected to win – are you feeling a bit disappointed?
"Naturally, I'm a bit disappointed. I'm a bit annoyed. But I was a pawn in their game. I believed I was one of the big characters – maybe not – but what can I do? It's a twist in the tale and unfortunately I'm in this position now. But it doesn't mean the end, does it?"

BB got into a lot of trouble over Nikki re-entering the house, and the producer later admitted it was his biggest mistake on the show, so there's no way they'd do that again.

Simon wasn't evicted by a public vote - and even the viewers voting on the "shortlist" of HMs for the twist weren't directly told one of the HMs chosen would be evicted - so BB could do what they like with him.

If Kieran does re-enter the house, it will be as a guest, not a contestant.
