Hollyoaks has been fantastic as usual this week.





I wish Hollyoaks got the credit it deserves and the likes of Hannah, Newt and Steph got the recognition they deserve for their acting.

, I can't wait for Lucy Allan's storylines to run out thank God she is going and the new producer Paul Marquess is in, he's already axed the Ashworths apart from Rhys now Hannah is gone. He used to be in charge of the Bill and Family Affairs so is known to wield the axe and be tough so there will be a clear outr of the deadwood and lots of changes to get it back on form again.

Lucy Allan is the current Hollyoaks producer Irish Princess, it's been on a downward spiral since she took over but this guy who has took over now has lots of experience so will hopefully turn it around. Eastenders are lucky to have Bryan Kirkwood now.


I don't know tbh although I think Rhys, Hayley is gone for maternity leave but there is going to be a cast cull probably.

Oh is she actually pregnant in real life?! Hopefully she doesnt come back.

Our favourite actor Dev was showcased to great effect. The mealtime scenes with the aunties represented some of the greatest drama ever shown on the tellybox. Surely it's only a matter of time before Hollywood ...........etc etc.

i turn the sound off when dev starts his *acting*  cringeworthy or what

 We were laughing out loud. It makes the fact that Mrs Joe forces me to watch it completely worthwhile.

Maisy is very annoying and nasty I love emmerdale I love corrie it is my favourite soap, Dev was so over the top with his acting last night he is a terrible actor, eastenders is just a joke bad storylines bad actors ..enough said

Oh god DID that Maisie is awful, I've giving her time as a character to 'settle in' but she just becomes worse! the bit that really put me off was her 'hysterics' in the kitchen when she swiped everything off the breakfast bar - I felt it so cringe worthy that I could barely watch - I watched it on plus 1 to see if I was being OTT - but no, it was her who annoyed me - she acts OK to a point and then she goes all jittery and shaky! As for Nathan - well I know they say if a character can make you hate/despise them then they're good, well, I do believe there are exceptions, the aforementioned for one. And yes, Nathan is 'wooden' as an actor as one poster said. then we have The Bartons - this is where I really need to be tied down! holly, well don't even start me off or I'll be here all day! surely there were better actresses to choose from than her? Hannah isn't much better - then there's Moira - oh God this 'knowing all/super woman' really does my head in with her false Scottish accent! One minute she claims to be an all knowing Mother then a teenager - I'm winding myself up as I type! Loathe her hubby too, patronising git!
Olena (sp?) is another character I'm waiting to 'develop' but she is grating on me already!

goinjg back to Maisie - if she has so much 'money' in the family, they why didn't they get her teeth sorted and surely she can afford to have the roots on her crispy hair done?

It's all the gurning she does, I have to switch over when she's on...there is NOTHING to like about her and the character she plays.....as for The Bartons...I didn't realise who you meant at first until you explained...that is how much i've taken to that Family....

GJ....the kitchen scenes in last nights Corries were indeed cringeworthy, what's the point of them....what a crap storyline.....how the hell is 'Dev' still getting paid for stealing a living....the mind boggles...

DID, i know Dev/Corrie is as rubbish as his story lines but he hasn't riled me as much as other Soap members yet, why I don't know - his Uncle was grim, they Aunts are doing too well imo either.

I agree, what is the point of those two. Kym Marsh doesn't play much of a character either, she's just dull and pointless...isn't it odd how they build up to storylines for ages...and then, nothing, like Michelles Son Ryan not being her real Son....they dragged it out for ages and now there's no mention of it!!!!

I do hope the Gail Platt storyline doesn't drag on for ever as well....

Corrie hasn't exactly been a barrel of laughs at the moment, loving David, Gail, Leanne and Peter's storyline. I'm dreading the return of Molvin.

Yeah she's gone, Hannah was meant to have left with Justin but then Hollyoaks changed their mind and kept on Emma Rigby for another six months to have Hannah relapse and bring closure to the anorexia storyline.



New producer in because the current one hasn't done a good job, the new guy used to work on Family Affairs, The Bill and Footballer's Wives and has a reputation for culling lots of cast and turning things round so he might get it back to how it was 07/08 when Bryan Kirkwood was in charge

He was such a disappointment - I like him as an actor, but he's just been a bit 'nothing' in Corrie.    I agree with RZB - I like Graham... and I'd love to see him tame Rawwwwwwzeeee Webster and have her married off, wearing sweats and no make up with a couple of kids in tow.

The writers are better off making Rosie more softer now with Graham, the way her character is meant to make people hate her even though people can't stand Helen Flanagan.
