I don't watch the show but I just learn't that she is a judge on this show, so I thought I would Google her career, and nowhere did is say that she trained as an Ice skater professionally, or represent GB for the sport, so how does she qualify to judge people on national TV about it? What is it with TV companies putting people with no experience or training on show's they have no knowledge of, I've seen dumbass zelebs present shows of which they know nothing about, just coz they are pretty. I don't get it, they are probably reading autocue to make sure they get their paycheque. It does my head in!

I read that Emma and Jason have not yet had their DOI contracts renewed, so perhaps she won't be there this year, Poolie.
I agree with you though, she should not have been chosen as a judge in the first place.
DOI lost all credibility for me when they got rid of Karen Barber and Nicky Slater as they were the only two on the panel who were former Ice Dancers (Robin Cousins was a figure skater which is a different discipline)
The show is pants now and I agree, Emma Bunton has no credentials to be a judge on DOI but then neither did Mr Nasty - Jason what'shisface but at least he could make comments on the choreography of a dance
I'm sick of this whole Zeleb culture we live in nowadays, nobodies turning up on every TV show giving us their useless no good opinions on things they think we care about! Why does every show have to have a zeleb guest on it? Harping on about things they know nowt about, when will it all end!!!!!
Make yourself a cuppa, Poolie.
I may be wrong, 'cos I arn't that bothered about the show, but she may have been a contestant once and that's why she thinks she qualifies.
ITV: Hi Emma, would you like to be a judge on DOI? We will pay you a tidy sum if you do.
Emma: Sure.
The End.

Sounds about right, also: ITV to Christine Bleakley, " Would you like us to pay you a million pounds a year to front our new morning show, you are just what we are looking for, I'm sure the rating will go through the roof. Less than 6 months later, "Christine shut the door on you way out love!"

Why does it annoy you so much if you don't even watch it? She has been there for a while anyway, think about your blood pressure man, all this rage can't be healthy
Emma Bunton was part of one of the biggest girl bands in the world. She also had a reasonable solo career and is a DJ on Heart radio - a national station.
While it is true she may not be the best qualified person to judge an ice skating competition, she is hardly a Z lister.
She is also a very nice person and not at all pushy and fake.
What's it to you anyway? You don't watch the programme.

I wanted to, but I had already made comment on another thread
My point is not about Emma herself, but as to why she qualifies as a judge on something she has no experience at, and why celebs are asked to comment on things they aren't related to just coz they are celebs. I don't go to bed at night not being able to sleep about issues like this, but these things irritate me sometimes that's all.
Louie Spence has been linked with a judging role on Dancing on Ice.
The former Pineapple Dance Studios star is one of a number of people who are of interest to the ITV1 reality show's producers, according to The Sun. The paper also reports that current judges Jason Gardiner and Emma Buntonhave not yet been offered new deals for next year's show.
An insider claimed: "This year's judging lineup is being taken to the wire. Producers want to refresh things and Jason and Emma look the most vulnerable.
"The show has been running for several years, and like all ITV shows they are overhauled occasionally to keep viewers interested."
Former Spice Girls singer Bunton joined the panel in December 2009, replacing West End star Ruthie Henshall.
Choreographer and theatre producer Gardiner, who was previously a judge on BBC One's Strictly Dance Fever, has been with Dancing on Ice since its debut in January 2006.
An ITV spokesperson neither confirmed nor denied the report, simply saying: "We have not yet announced the judging panel for the 2012 series."
It was announced last week that Holly Willoughby is to leave Dancing on Ice and Daybreak host Christine Bleakley will join Phillip Schofield to present the show.
Willoughby is rumoured to be returning to the BBC as host of singing competition The Voice UK, which will premiere next year on BBC One.
I sincerely hope they don't bring Jason back. Nasty, nasty man ............................IMO there is no redeeming features. I'd like to see him off my TV screen forever - HORRIBLE man!
The short answer Poolie is I don't have a bleeding clue! I cannot STAND the bloody woman. She is just one of the most annoying women EVER on telly. And I wonder also, what qualifies her to be a judge on DOI? She has no more right to do that, than Tulisa has to be a judge on x factor. All i can think is that they must know the right people.
