you may remember i asked how to read headers as i was trying to trace a nasty email

well i ran a trace on the two IP addresses

when i put one address in - it came up as one location

then i went on another site and ran a trace on the same IP address number and it came up as somewhere completely different

any ideads chummies

my fingers are cold and my eyes are crossed

Are the two locations very different?

It could be that one of the IP checkers is more specific...For example one is saying "London" (generic term) and another is saying "Chelsea" (more specific) ?

Is it something to do with hacking into other users or servers? I know that people are able to take control of other users and send proxy mail. In effect someone in Moscow could send you an email and it may show as being sent from Bromsgrove.
