They used to take the penguins for a walk just after the 1 o'clock gun. Hope you get to see it, it's hilarious! Also the chimps' tea party if they still do that. Wish I was going with you, have a great day!
Ah I used to love taking mine to the zoo when they were younger

I last visited a couple of years ago. My Mother insisted on tagging along and was adamant her portable mobility scooter would be fine to get her up Corstorphine Hill, despite me advising to the contrary. "I've never been, you've got a car, it's not fair..." said Mother.
Picture the scene when the bloody thing gave out about 20 yards up. We had to take turns pushing her on it. I have never seen my children look so miserable!
However, on the way down, we had to hang on tight to stop her and it rolling away and my son deliberately let go, for a few seconds. I was like and
I hope you have a great time! Zoos make me feel sad though, even though the animals are awesome.

Good zoo's fund lots of work for the animals in their natural habitats and have saved some species from becoming extinct although I do agree, and I am sure most zookeepers would to, that in an ideal world we would not need zoos

I'm coming to Edinburgh at the end of September for my oh's 30th and will def visit the zoo if it's still open then
I took my grandsons to Twycross zoo a couple of weeks ago ....we had an absolutely fab time. IMO though ........nothing beats Howletts Zoo in Kent ......................I could sit and watch the gorillas for ever and a day.
