I hope it's better than the TB checks they have at Birmingham airport where names and alleged addresses are taken and they are told to get treatment from a GP but effectively waved through.  You can't make people in this country take medication so what would happen if they are found to have ebola?  Court order to isolate them?

it's all ifs and buts at the moment but I don't trust our government to protect us

it also said on the news this morning that scans at the airport are a bit worthless as we have no direct flights from Sierra Leone into the UK  - you'd need to scan every single person.

I read that too ...

The other illnesses mentioned killed a lot of people too, but it never finished all mankind off like we were all told at the time.

Oh no And it's in Spain now too  It's scary stuff Jen

But it's not actually as infectious and virulent as some other diseases, though we still need to treat it with caution! I think we're seeing media whipped up panic.

That to me makes me think the Gov are taking it seriously. I however will take it seriously (in the island we live on) when people are popping off the mortal coil at a rate.

The other's in Liverpool, Cinds.     Dunno if we're making any provisions... I just saw Alex Salmond singing on the telly....

I get where you're at Kaffy, but should all other activities of life be suspended every time something fairly serious happens?
