Apparently the girl who plays Stacey Slater has a sore throat and has lost her voice and she was in some scenes tonight. They sent her home from rehearsals yesterday........................................or it's a load of crap for media attention.

I DO agree wholeheartedly.  EE is a big pile of shit and I have NO idea how it's still running.  The whole show is a pathetic joke!  Everyone I know over the age of 21 hates it with a passion.  Only kids and adolescents seem to think it's GREAT; the ones that like Hollyoaks and Skins too, which are also a load of shit, and are usually liked by football fans and fans of Cheryl Cole; (and also Lily Allen and Dizzee rascal.  BEST FEMALE SINGER and MALE SINGER in the Brits FFS; what IS the world coming to?!    They both SUCK!)



Anyway, I digress.....



EE has the most ridiculous and stupid storylines, and it makes me laugh how everyone is related.  It's so pathetic.  I mean, how many MORE MITCHELLS are going to appear FFS?!  And Phil 'fat boy' Mitchell being played out as this 'ardman just makes me ROFL.  And what is this thing they have about shagging each others family members!   It's GROSS!


FFS the BBC need to pension this dire drivel off.  It gets worse by the minute.  Corrie is WAY better;  Heaven knows how EE keeps winning BEST SOAP in the soap awards; someone in the production team must be sleeping with someone important, coz it's SHIT!

Fair enough but that doesn't mean everyone over the age of 21 hates Eastenders. Older people are more familiar with Corrie and it seems us younger people are more familiar with Eastenders.



I like most of the stuff you listed.

I didn't say everyone over 21 hates it Darlo.  Only that everyone *I* know over 21 hates it.  I think it does largely appeal to the younger generation, more so than Corrie.  Though the younger people *I* am related to, absolutely hate it, and they hate Skins and Hollyoaks too, and dizzee rascal and lily allen and cheryl cole and football too.    


I also hate all of the above...  as someone said; different horses for different courses...


FTR Darlo, I did like EE a lot right up to about 3 or 4 years ago.  It's used to be very good.

LOL, as i said, I did used to like it right up to about 3 years ago, and still watch it occasionally out of sheer habit, if there is nowt else on.  I would say I watch it about 3 times a month, (and many others who think it is shit also do; some of them on this thread actually.....and they will probably give the same answer as me...) 


Many people who slate BB; they still watch it sometimes.  It's hard to explain why.  LOL.   Maybe for the same reason; they USED to like it and are waiting to see if it gets good again...  It is proper dire though.  As I used to like it, I think I live in hope that it will get better, but I am still waiting....

All soaps have times when the storylines aren't as interesting as others. all soaps have actors that aren't as good as others in it. I watch EE and Corrie and put up with some of more boring storylines knowing I'll enjoy others that are more gripping when they come along.
