heat a little olive oil on a spoon...well heat the spoon and put the olive oil on...then stick it ion your ear...the olive oil not the spoon

get yourself to docs and have them check you out, you might need antibiotics or they might offer you to have them syringed.

My mum used to put olive oil in my ears when I was young - then I went to the docs at 18 and the doc told me off for doing it
Mucron (buy at chemists) is good for sinus pain.

If the ear pain and congestion is secondary to a cold, the problem is more likely to be blockage in the Eustachian tubes, which connect the back of your throat to your middle ear. Ear drops, olive oil, or anything that you put in your ears is unlikely to help.

You could try a decongestant, but it would be best to speak to your Doctor.

I agree with Sarum - you need to see your doctor and get some antibiotics

If it is related to a build up or blockage of ear wax, then a drop of olive oil can help.
If it persists then visit your doctor. A number of little things can go on within the ear that cannot be dealt with by oneself.
But don't worry Chicken.

Ears are very delicate .............home remedies aren't really a good idea. See the doctor .............do not go pouring stuff into your ear on the well advised advice of a layman.

Doctors are there to advise .....the eardrum is a very delicate membrane .....................take it from one that knows.

Well olive oil was a Godsend to me a week ago when I had earache with an abcess. And this was recommended to me by my GP aswell.
