Ben was questioned about his choice of hairstyle by John James earlier, after explaining that his hair is "naturally thick and tall".
The Australian asked him why he opts to have the hairdo that he sports, prompting the broadcaster to discuss his haircuts past and present.
"I've always done it slightly different ways," he began. "Having thick hair as a child, I used to have it spiked up. Then for a while I did the 'Jedward' thing - what they used to call a flat top."
He continued: "While I don't follow fashion, I look around at what people are doing and then choose how to do mine. When I was 16 or 17 a slight side parting became fashionable again so I started doing that... sometimes if I have a big party or function I'll go to the hairdressers on the same day and let them do what they want with it."
He proceeded to tell John James that his hairdresser was one of the only people he told about his place on Big Brother. "I had to!" he exclaimed, saying that he needed to request a style that would stand the test of time in the house.
