Well I'm from Brum and I agree completely with Bea over the 'work' thing and paying taxes for the completely 'workable' to sit on their arses whilst others who really REALLY cant work, lose out 
During anniversary week - when Dean asked Lisa where abouts in Birmingham she was from - did anyone notice Lisa hesitate before telling him - as if she felt he were trying to catch her out or something?

That little statment from Bea really wound me up. What they hell does she know about being on the dole, its so easy to judge.

I'm becoming quite annoyed at the amount of threads that have accused Lisa and by extension the people from Birmingham spongers
Lisa worked until last February in factories until she was made redundant. She went from being an ordinary worker to supervisor. Not a big deal for some people, but for those of Lisa's social and educational skills, she still improved herself and worked hard to get there. Unemployment in Brum is one of the highest in the country and as for manufacturing, we hardly have any left in Birmingham or in this country thanks to our Government. This country has become a nation of receivers of goods not makers, so it's hardly suprising in these times it's difficult to get a job.
I can't stand Lisa and equally can't stand Bea but I'd lay money on the one not having paid much in the way of taxes is Bea. Obviously with a degree in psychology Bea is always going to be in a better position to find financially better employment. The big question is whether she'll choose to do so.
Beas comments are quite ironic considering her job record would indicate that she's the one who is unemployable. Silly girl.

Since Xmas I believe. I don't like Lisa but the idea that she has never worked does'nt hold water. She has few if any qualifications,is unskilled and over 40. Its going to be tough for her in the present economic climate.
