I was telling my kids the other day that when I was a kid, children's records used to be red vinyl. I told them that as I was singing 'The Ugly Duckling' at them

QUEEN of Disco Donna Summer has died at the age of 63 after a years-long  battle with breast cancer

The five-time Grammy Award-winner was in Florida at the time of her death.

Donna came to fame during the Disco era in the 1970s and was known for her  hits Love To Love You and I Feel Love.

She is survived by her husband, singer and producer Bruce Sudano, their  daughters, Brooklyn and Amanda and Summer’s daughter, Mimi, from a previous  marriage.

A statement issued on behalf of her family said: “Early this morning, we lost  Donna Summer Sudano, a woman of many gifts, the greatest being her faith.

“While we grieve her passing, we are at peace celebrating her extraordinary  life and her continued legacy.

"Words truly can’t express how much we appreciate your prayers and love  for our family at this sensitive time.”

apparently she was very secretive about what type of cancer she had.  Early reports said it was anal cancer, that changed to leukaemia and now breast cancer!  Either way tis a sad loss
