I can't seem to convince Wilfy that it's just not a good idea for him to still be wanting to sleep on my lap. It's (a) too warm and (b) we are now both way too big, for him to be continually trying to climb up on me for his afternoon snooze. Everytime I tell him to get down he just carries on until he gets comfy and falls asleep. If I push him off he looks really upset by it and I feel bad. Any idea on how to stop it?

Or a pillow.

Truly awful! And imagine if I had been wearing your growing trousers, and they had fallen down at that precise moment!

agreed, he might take exception to a baby taking 'his' place.
keep putting him down or better still stop him as he tries to get up and be consistent

say fanny and everyone knows what you mean whereas clunge sounds like something you'd do with a blocked drain...
