The dog walking service round these 'ere parts have CRB checked walkers - I'd have thunk it's only common sense.

Do you have experience with dogs. Even better, do you know anyone with a dog, who could give you a reference that potential customers could talk to?

If it were me, I'd do it for free for people I knew first (perhaps accompanying them to begin with), and gain as much experience with different dogs as possible. Then get references from them.

Even better, if you live near a dog shelter, or Dogs Trust centre, you could volunteer to be a walker for them, and then use that as a reference.
