Ooooh, this is not gonna go down well, LOL.   I love him, because he is really fit and hunky.  LOL.  And he seems like a nice family man and very houseproud.  BUT he is a bit rude sometimes, and a bit arrogant and full of himself,  But his good points outweigh the negative.  He is a bit bossy too.  Still like him though, and he makes me laff!

I don't agree with most of what you say about people being jealous or anything though.  They just dislike his arrogance,  I don't know why SOME women like him and SOME don't..... weird....  But I am inclined to think it may be a bit of jealousy from the men........... he is the kind of man they want to be ...

I will defend vinnie because I dont like all this 'irrational' hatred .........he is who he is - didn't expect anything different but ..............hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm- not getting the jealousy thing TBH. You either like him or you dont.
Same here Soozy.  Is it more likely to be 'feminists' who dislike him?  I am definatley not a feminist, and like him LOL,  Not attacking anyone at all.  Just curious.......

I've noticed that some women like a challenge; they like excessive roughness; tough treatment. They admire people like Vinnie Jones and Gordon Ramsay who present that sort of image.
Then later many of them wonder how it all went wrong. (Possibly because the challenge they were tempted by caused their better judgment to become marred.)

I appreciate this is a wind up thread but I will none the less courteously offer an answer to why I'm not enjoying him.

I dislike him because he's been a complete spoil sport all series.  He's failed to embrace the spirit of big brother but assumes it is his for the winning.  He has a foul mouth, he's disrespectful in the manner that he speaks to most of the housemates.  No one has bitched or back-bitten as much as he has, take tonight's highlights as a perfect example of this.

I tried to find good aspects in Vinnie at the start of BB but as the days and weeks go by I found myself giving up trying.

On this forum and DS I've noticed a lot of Vinnie hate.  The general public consensus seems to be favourable opinion however.  Forum guys, do you hate Vinnie because you wish you were as strong, wish you had such power over people?  Forum gals, do you hate Vinnie because he's the kind of man you could never have?
First of all I just want to say I don't HATE him.......secondly I disagree that the general concensus of him is favourable as I still have yet to meet anyone in RL that likes the guy (I'm not including the forum).  I don't like his behaviour...........he's rude, controlling, arrogant. dictatorial, condescending, aggressive and he constantly belittles people and tries to put them down.  If he was the last man on earth I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole

As Real says its ch4 who either portrays him as good or bad so why do the HM like him?
They are in a safe enviroment plus they never have to see him again so don't give me *they are affraid of him*..Like the whole forum has been saying..
I like him cos he's an ordinary everyday bloke and not a plastic celeb, he's never forgot where he came from exactly the same as Ivana....

We can only judge on what C4 wants us to see.-- They are in charge of who gets bad/good reviews. Based on a 24/7 LF i recon a lot of us would have totally diferent opinions
I agree we could make different decisions about the HM's if we had LF, but we have no choice so have to go with what they allow us to see. Have to admit I've not seen much/anything that shows him in a good light. With the editing of others I often change my mind, but not about him.

I'm not watching the show which is what it is.  A show and nothing more.
Vinnie was a hard man footballer and made no excuses for it.  Shame he played the hard man and not football.
He went in there was the Nation's Favourite because he lives in Hollywood.
If poor Jade lived in Hollywood; C4 & The Press would have treated her differently.    She was only in the ha'penny place compared with this fella.

He tries to mask his spitefulness with humour, but his eyes give it away. Nothing to do with my feminism, because he tries to control both sexes, so it's just his personality that I detest
I completely agree with your comments.
He has been the HM spouting vitriol about the others but thinks its ok because he says it infront of them. He has had a go at all of them now that Stephenie has been told she is a fence sitter.
Nobody is going to stand up to him, there is only one point of view and thats his. I don't believe they all like him, living in an enviroment like that with one person setting the rules must get to them but they are scared to cross him.  He is so sure of winning and thinks he has the show wrapped up.
