Seeing as how the Tories backed the Iraq war I can understand them keeping stum.
Yes, they're between a rock and a hard place there.  When there's talk of war most parties toe the line as it's likely to be seen as unpatriotic to do otherwise.  Rather like moaing about the various wars and about soldier conduct in general, actually, but hey ho.  I don't suppose the opposition gets access to all the foreign office and MOD information anyway and, afterall, why should they when the executive runs the country and parliament is basically just the legislature.

If the latest poll are to be believed, the Cameron honeymoon seems to be ending before the wedding has taken place, Now down to only a 6 point lead, with open goals to score on every corner, they should be 15-20 points in front.
There's still the possibility of another banking crisis before March, you know.  See what happened when news of the Dubai debt crap came in yesterday to recognise the potential for ring twitter in the markets.  I suppose NuLabour need to call an election just after news of the recession ending has been published but before another drop into recession occurs, which might happen as I think QE is keeping us afloat, and before someone has to do something about tackling the grotesquely huge and increasing debt which has to happen fairly soon after the recession ends.
