She reported that a lot the jurors were shocked when Casey burst out laughing at Jeff`s "pig in a blanket."  One said "Oh gosh"  nudged a juror next her and pointed at Casey.

Someone else just pointed out that Baez is apparently not sticking with his opening statement on what happened but is possibly planning on changing his defence like this to catch the State off guard? Baez called his witness based on his opening statement, and did not call some he might have used if his statement had differed. The State cannot NOW call new witnesses, and are stuck with whoever Jose calls to support whatever defence he is planning for the day...

The defence are attempting to have this witness testify on matters he did not include in his report. IMO, the judge has already shown leniency towards the defence on these matters, and it's now time to get tough on Bozo.

I think he's been lenient because it's a capital case and he doesn't want any reason for the defence to appeal but I do think this witness should be dismissed

Baez seems to be treading a really fine line with JP - I think he's allowing this deposition to be taken this afternoon and the witness to testify on Monday again because it's a capital case and because he doesn't want to be seen as biased for the State and give reason to appeal.

I really do hope that Casey doesn't try an appeal on the grounds of having inadequate representation 

having said that, he is really ticking Baez off and rightly so 

Bozo has really annoyed the judge - he better tread very carefuly from now on.

a lot of people think Bozo is doing this deliberately because he has no defence strategy as the State have blown most of what he said in opening statement out of the water.

I loved it when he said he would take his deposition this afternoon and allow the State to be there and JP replied  - No, the State will be taking his deposition, not you.  ( or something like that)
