http://www.wftv.com/caseytriallive1/index.html I've got LF back.
Apparently he's not the lead defence, I wonder why his boss isn't stepping in...he's making a proper dogs bollox of this
Evening I should have said that in my last post
Hi Dame.
I started, so I feel I have to finish watching this court case, but it is making me feel really uncomfortable..I am finding it harder and harder to look at Casey....the only people I am feeling comfortable with are the Grandparents, the Judge and the Blonde Prosecution lady.......The Defense seem to be clasping at straws and willing to deny facts........
Hi Yogi and Syd
I'm finding it hard to watch...but it's so complex and fascinating...you just don't know what excuse the defence comes up with next or what lies are going to be spouted
Apologies as I haven't seen much live coverage. But read a lot on here.
I cannot understand why just cos the Grandmother (Cindy) was a nurse she would know what death smells like. Surely nurses don't generally come across many heavily decomposed bodies. Yes I know they deal with death on a regular basis but aren't these usually fairly recently deceased people which as far as I am aware do not emit a strong odour.

I made exactly the same point to my daughter yesterday SB, why would a nurse deal with a rotting corpse
I hate to jump to conclusions.............But....Casey said to her friend Amy, that the car smelt, and perhaps her Father had ran over an animal.....................Then the car is found with a bag of rubbish in it.........
TBH .........we once broke down in Leicester Square (many years ago) - we left the car in a multi story - we had shopping (including lamb chops) in it. It was three days before we picked it up .................I cannot begin to describe the smell.
Rotting flesh is rotting flesh - whether animal (food stuff) or human. How would you know?

She did say that she worked with patients with gangrene ......amputees with rotting, decomposing flesh. She also said that many years ago as a student she had witnessed (as part of her training) decomposing bodies.
The thing is ......smells cannot be really tangible but - a smell can bring up so many memories - I only have to smell a certain perfume and it takes me back to a time and a place. The sense of smell is a funny one - it's not easy to describe but - it does live in your memory/senses IMO.
slight technical hitch with the projector but I'm liking this prosecutor she seems on the ball unlike the defence

I like her, Pengy - she's a shrewd cookie.

During Cindys 911 call she stated and i quote..."There is something wrong. I found my daughters car today and it smells like there has been a dead body in it" Casey then admitted that Caylee had been missing for a month, and Cindy said she was giving Casey no more time. She continued to stand by her daughter, and afterwards referred to the smell as garbage, as possibly realising how damaging that comment would be to Casey.

As far as I'm concerned - she hasn't put a foot wrong. You'd want her on your side wouldn't you?

I totally agree with this Soozy - I had MRSA in a back wound and there was a distinctive smell that no one else could smell. When I had another operation a few years later I smelt the same smell so knew before the tests had been confirmed that I'd been reinfected with MRSA even though everyone was telling me MRSA didn't smell!
I also can't stand the smell of Estee Lauder's Sunflowers perfume because I wore it once while I was having chemotherapy and that has a tendency to heighten your sense of smell - as soon as I smell it and it's been 11 years now, I will literally throw up

He is the lead defence Dame.
I`m at the Hinky Meter forum today - this is a post from there.
" Every time Jose Baez speaks I gain more respect for Judge Perry, if that's even possible. It has to take everything he has not to fly over the bench like a cute round ninja and judo chop Baez right in his big stoopid head."
Here`s the link, it`s a great read.

^^^^ I completely agree with that poster.
Hi and Bye Scotty.
I'll check out that link after todays court proceedings end.

she's managing to get all her bits in and the defence are being over-ruled a lot

If you are referring to the comment i made, i didnt realise the time scale, and said above that i was running away with myself
I may be wrong here but as I remember it - no smell of death (in the 911 phone calls) was mentioned until Cindy actually realised she was missing .......although she'd mentioned 'smell of death' prior to this - it was only when she realised Caylee was missing (her mind went into overdrive) that she included it in her 911 call.
She made two or three calls .........I'm sure the smell of death was only after she realised Caylee was missing.
Going off to listen to the case, when i have this window open too, it slows things down xx

A clever lady.

See you later, Skylark.
I'm wondering about Mr Baez's - does anyone know if he's a defence lawyer provided by the state or has someone paid for his services or is he a pro bono??
Going off to listen to the case, when i have this window open too, it slows things down xx
Sky lark ............i realise yesterday my post seemed confrontational ...............it really wasn't meant that way at all . I realise I've just done the same again .......................I'm really only chewing the fat!
If I've offended - it really is unintentional.
Casey's initial statement and this audio interview are total works of fiction.
I can't understand how anyone could concoct such complicated, ficticious stories.
Apologies as I haven't seen much live coverage. But read a lot on here.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! The LIES ........so intricate - the phone - the friends - the Nanny - how conniving and I have to say convincing is she!
I have to say .......the defence are in an impossible position.

No not at all, nothing wrong with chewing the fat! It is right to question, even if it sounds daft at the time. Although sometimes i type stuff and then think afterwards!
I was about to ask if Mr Baez's weak defence of Casey could be grounds for an appeal should Casey be found guilty but whoever posted that Hinky Meter link - thank you because someone called Silverspnr answered it there fore me

This case is so confusing, no wonder we are all getting mixed up.

I think we all do that. It's par for the course! Don't stop Skylark - it's good to mull it over - we're like the ga ga jury!
No probs Soozy, chat later
She mentioned a Jeff - unless I'm wrong isn't he fabricated???
She mentioned a Jeff - unless I'm wrong isn't he fabricated???
Yep
So far, Casey has referenced Jeff, Juliet and Zanny - none of whom exist.
She referenced her job at Universal - she didn't work there.
I'm being presumptuous here because I obviously wasn't in the room with them but...... isn't she very calm for someone who's daughter is missing?
Did she honestly think that Universal didn't have a comprehensive list of employees? We're hearing here about 'supposed' colleagues and even 'Zanny' was a casual worker there FGS!
