I'm sure someone said that her brother (Lee) had mentioned that Casey lied just for the sake of it.

I missed day one ..........have been trying to gather info on you tube. I hadn't realised that Lee had been called already. I'm not sure the truth will ever come out TBH ..........she is a compulsive liar and from what it seems her parents seem 'decent and ordinary' I may be wrong. As far as mental illness goes (I'm not disagreeing here) surely she's been psychologlically assessed. Agreed though - it is just not normal to lie and lie and lie. I would have thought her parents/relatives/friends/school teachers would know this.

To prove this though is extremely hard, as even a sociopath doesn't know they have problems lol They believe the world revolves around them, have no empathy, except to look after themselves. Very very clever they are, very charming,and you can not tell any classic symptoms at  first meeting as they are like you and me to everyone, very normal outwardly. It is a very dark illness, for them and for victims.Not all sociopths hurt people, they mainly just can't form relationships and have no feelings emotionally to others, lie, etc etc.

Example is Ted Bundy a sadistic Sociopath.

Lee hasn't been called yet, Soozy. I think it was another witness who mentioned that Lee said Casey lied a lot, and not only when she might benefit from the lie.

Or maybe I saw it on one of the pretrial vids I watched on youtube last night. This trial is taking over my life!

My sons decided to chat to me and I didn't hear what the judge said.

Me too .......................I'm sat here feeling so upset. A little girl has died and that is awful enough but to see the grandmother so distraught ............how awful to lose a grand child and to have your own child on trial for murder (and also claiming she was abused by her father). It is just terrible and I can't believe how upset I am over this.

I know I'm repeating myself but I'm like - 

I'm sure I'm fine - my son says I got a double ration of the empathy gene.

 Have you any clue how long this trial is due to last? Knowing my luck i'll spend days figuring  out whats what and it will end.

CNN .................they are five hours behind. It starts again 8.30 on Tuesday which is 1.30 GMT. Be prepared to give up your whole day and night. It's worse than BB ..........................I'm addicted - in a strange way I wish I hadn't got involved - not only is it time consuming - it's incredibly upsetting!

This precious little angel from above gave me strength and unconditional love. Now she is gone and I don’t know why. All I am guilty of is loving her and providing her a safe home. Jealousy has taken her away. Jealousy from the one person that should be thankfull for all of the love and support given to her. A mother’s love is deep, however there are limits when one is betrayed by the one she loved and trusted the most. A daughter comes to her mother for support when she is pregnant, the mother says without hesitation it will be ok. And it was. But then the lies and betrayal began. First it seemed harmless, ah, love is blind. A mother will look for the good in her child and give them a chance to change. This mother gave chance after chance for her daughter to change, but instead more lies more betrayal. What does the mother get for giving her daughter all of these chances? A broken heart. The daughter who stole money, lots of money, leaves without warning and does not let her mother now speak to the baby that her mother raised, fed, clothed, sheltered, paid her medical bills, etc. Instead tells her friends that her mother is controlling her life and she needs her space. No money, no future. Where did she go? Who is now watching out for the little angel?

 

 

Where do I start with my questions?? 

Casey Anthony had lived at the family home with her daughter Caylee  day in day out. Suddenly she up and left (IMO probably because theft and deception over money was coming to light). As a grandmother I can understand this womans distress ................after being part of your grand childs life on a daily basis two weeks is an awful long time in not really knowing what is going on. She had just found out that she was being lied to over and over ................I fully understand that message. I know the defence will try to manipulate and twist it but ...............it seems perfectly understandable to me.

I can't conceive of any reason why I wouldn't know where my grandchildren are almost on a daily basis. If either of them had not been seen for two or three days and my daughter played dumb, I'd be on the 'phone to the police.

It's not like that Cologne ............you have to read back. She just thought her daughter had moved out to live with a friend - she was hurt obviously but had no reason whatsoever to think that something awful had happened to her grand daughter. Her daughter was 22 years old and living her life ...............why would she assume something terrible had happened to her grand daughter?

The grandparents have both lied time and time again..I would'nt trust them as far as I can throw them....

Why would'nt she want to see her daughter and granddaughter for 32 days?....My phylosophy is..Believe nothing..Question everything....my mind is not swayed by anyone in this case....

I'm not sure what lies they've told but TBH - they're between the devil and the deep blue sea. Their grand daughter is dead and their daughter is on trial for murder ..........it's a double whammy. I'm sure that they may have falsified a bit (not believing for one moment that their daughter was capable of murder) and because they face the prospect of their daughter being given the death sentence!

What a terrible place to be.

Its a very complicated case. I havent been posting but reading. I am keeping an open mind, as it is all unravelling........

Has anyone actually been watching the trial?. Her daughter moved out and lied about where she was staying. Cindy was desperately trying to make arrangements to meet up ...............she was lied to over and over. What was she to do? Report her daughter to the police because she refused (or made excuses) about coming to the family home? After two weeks Cindy took it into her own hands when 'she th ought' she knew where they were. It was only then that the realisation hit that their daughter was not just telling white lies ............it was far bigger than that. Even then - there was no reason to believe that something awful had happened to her grand daughter IMO.

I understand, but I just assume if you have your daughter and her child living with you, you're close enough to want to see them regularly once they've moved out. Could be just me. I saw my daughter's children into the world and have seen them eversince on a regular basis ( every day or two) and maybe I just can't think myself into not seeing them for a whole week.

Yes i understand what you are saying Cologne, i am like that too, well i think we all are. But this case has so many twists and turns , its baffling x
