I think removing yourself from a group on Facebook about this trial, because you didnt want to fall out with friends you thought so much of, because you didnt trust yourself not to fall out with said freinds over it..well, I think that is an over reaction, as when you are friends with someone, like a proper friend, you should be able to debate things like this case til the cows come home and argue and disagree, and still at the end of it be frieinds. THAT is what this is over, nothing more and nothing less, but you wont have that, will you? you insist I must have said something more to her for her to feel that way. How on earth did the jury come to that decision? I really cannot comprehend. No wonder they didn't want to do a press conference .........................no wonder they want to scuttle back to annonimty.

 

I'm dumbfounded TBH .........................it was pretty clear cut to me. She wasn't even done for one of the minor charges. UNBELIEVABLE!

I thought that she'd be found not guilty......Didn't have the time, (nor inclination,) to watch the trial live , 'though I have followed the case pretty closely and have read most of the posts /links on here. Tbh, I did think that most people on here had decided she was guilty/The Wicked Witch of the East before they heard any of the evidence presented in court. I was and remain 'open' to Casey's claim that George sexually abused her.

The state never had enough, (imo,) to convince a jury beyond reasonable doubt. 

Was justice served? Probably not, but hey, ho, nothing new in that.

 

She wasn`t charged with child neglect nor did she leave her child for a month with someone she hardly knew.  

 

Caylee was dead.

Anyway, yes, back to the case - no matter what slant you may want to put on it, the fact remains that there obviously was insubstantial, incontrovertible evidence to unanimously return a guilty verdict. The GaGa jurors ("justice never sleeps!") must be gutted.  But, onwards and upwards! The good news is that BB will be on again soon   And I understand that Eastenders has a particularly meaty storyline going on right now.  Every cloud, etc........

i was gutted because she was caylee's mother and (even though the jury acquitted her) only she has the answers, we must not forget a little girl died, i don't watch ee and do not confuse real life with soaps

The alternate juror did say 'we thought' as if they'd discussed it.............they were not supposed to discuss it! IMO all the objections from the defence that were over ruled (rightly so IMO) all the sidebars etc. - I think the jury thought the prosecution were being underhand - they sided with the 'underdog' IMO ..............even though all the over ruling and disallowed evidence were correct. I guess if you kick up a stink and make a big fuss something will stick!!!!!! Also the outrageous opening statements piut ideas in the head but .................they were under no obligation to prove it as they didn't but the seeds of doubt were planted. SHOCKING!
