The people in this thread have followed this trial day after day .........invested a lot of time in it. TBH - your response is a bit inappropriate. I like a laugh as much as anyone but ................this isn't really a laughing matter IMO. But ..............................you don't offend me - you've just popped into a thread where emotions are running high .......it happens.

No, it's about " Great Entertainment " and is " Better than Eastenders ", apparently.  Silly me.

The case itself is certainly not a laughing matter.  Nor is it many other things.

I've not expressed an opinion, appropriate or otherwise on it.  I did however laugh at the opinions expressed by some where theyknew the outcome before even the first day was out.  Those were, are and will continue to be laughable.

As to it being better than fictional soap dramas....Yes I was more interested..

Me too. I'm not ashamed to admit it ........................it was fascinating ..............at the end of the day IMO a dire miscarriage of justice. If people want to laugh and point the finger at how we've followed it day after day ...................................go ahead SO WHAT? It is as it is.

As is your opinion, in my opinion..

And what would your (Ha.............ha...........haaaaaaaaaaaa) opinion have been if the verdict had been different?

Aw, Profile, We both know you are not as stupid as you sometimes like to pretend....And people who matter know the only things people were laughing at and calling entertainment were things such as the imaginary friends board...which if you paid attention to this thread, you would see just about EVERYONE found that funny...hard not to really...But hey, you try and twist it to suit eh...as for you being silly, don't worry, just learn to laugh at youself, it is a valuable life skill, honey.

I'd like to say I was pretending to be stupid, Zazz, but regrettably it is no charade.  Probably fuels my lopsided gate.

As to twisting in anything - I'm not really tbh.  Don't need to.  There's enough rope been bandied around to get some hanging done without me needing to twizzle some more.

I'll let EVERYONE know you're the appointed spokesperson.

I probably wouldn't have had one to express.  Don't get me wrong, expressing certainty on the verdict of a trial not a day old is still retarded - whatever the verdict - but I'd have had less opportunity to lol.

1 - 0 to the judicial process.

I left this thread many moons ago as I don't find ongoing capital murder trials to be particularly entertaining when treated with the reverence usually afforded to a Christmas episode of Coronation Street.  Hey ho though, each to their own.

FM

I seem to recall certain posters joining a Facebook group on day 16 of the trial, and after having read all of 5 seconds of previous posts, they were frantically searching for their matches to light their torch and screaming "kill the witch!!!"

It astounds me that some people can be so myopic and have so much venom for a fellow human being, especially when they constantly go on about their own battles with personal prejudices they have had to face.
I guess it helps when you walk around with your head firmly lodged up your own arse

You are, you are twisting what I was laughing about and what I was comparing to a soap, and I am not "speaking" for anyone, I am pointing out that if you bother to read back, or infact kept up with the thread in the first place, you would see just about everyone was laughing at the same things..But, never at the fact a child lost her life through all this.

To be fair so are some of the other posts soozy.

Wanting to stick  a needle in someones arm is a worse thing to say  IMO

And! that is facebook......this is a thread on here.........

It is an example of how lightly they took this case, despite all their denials, they have said on several occasions that this trial is 'hilarious' 'great entertainment' etc etc and are now acting pious and pretending they took it serious from day one.

They saw it as a jolly old hoot and to pretend otherwise now they haven't got the verdict, they deemed suitable after their 5 seconds of reading is what the laughing matter is here.

Okay I am.  Except I'm not.

I haven't claimed you (or anyone else) laughed at the victim here.

You are however wholely guilty of finding an ongoing, extremely tragic murder case as entertainment for yourself.  And of being certain of the outcome.  And of affording justice no dignity at all.

These things deserve satire far sharper than anything I can deliver.

I have no problem with people being interested in crime and it's follow up.  But it's how you approach it and treat it.  Torch-wielding witch hunts went out of fashion before Shakespeare you know.

People in this thread.

I thought that was obvious enough?
What are your thoughts on the verdict?

Stockholm

I knew there was  a reason that I chose to take time out ................this thread is a176 pages long ......................people have followed avidly - listened intently = discussed it - chewed it over and along the way have had a few laughs (or light hearted moments) and then ......................you get people who know very little about the whole thing come in and poke and laugh.

Pretty pathetic IMO! But .............it is as it is.
