Judges instructions to the jury are complete, so now it's a waiting game for us.

Bill was saying earlier that when JBP was reading out the jury rules bozo was slumping in his seat. Apparently its going to be very very difficult for the jury to find her anything but guilty.  Im amazed how there can still be people out there that could think otherwise. They are a very very small minority i should think.

76% of people who have voted on the WFTV site today think she will be found guilty of 1st degree murder, too!!

Gyps, I'm guessing I'll be watching wftv during usual court hours, until the verdict comes in.

I hope it doesn't take them weeks to decide.

its quite interesting hearing them talk about it though, good background noise. 

and if that isnt enough, 92% say the prosecution had the strongest closing, the fact that 8% voted that the defence had the strongest closing is hyserical the defence closing was like an episode of blue peter!!

I can tell you that the majority of folk think it will be 2 days of deliberating

Hi jurors ......sorry I've not been around - i got your messages - thank you. it's all a bit complicated TBH - nothing whatsoever to do with the lovely ga ga jury - I've really enjoyed this thread and loved sharing it with you.

To top it all - even after choosing to take time out there is 'drama' in the fold ...........my lovely daughter has had her heart broken again ............after managing to pick herself up after her eleven long year relationship ended - the new guy (14 months) has finished it ..............she's just such a sweet heart and a very emotional person. My heart is breaking for her and I have to be there for her.

I'm eagerly awaiting the verdict like you ...............................I will be back but - I really do need time out.

oooh that is hard, because there is that whole should she get the death penalty because she took someones life, an eye for an eye and all that. OR should she be made to suffer in prison for the rest of her days, I think if I had to choose, I would say give her life in prison.

I think she'll be found guilty on the counts of Lying to the Police.  and hindering the Polcie investigation with ehr lies, .that was clearly proved in court.. but the sentence for that may just be time served..

She may also be found guilty of Aggravated Child abuse. .but that depends on whether the Jury got to hear about her admission of chloroforming Caylee.

I think the highest she'll get re murder is 2nd or 3rd degree. . I feel there is a little doubt in there cos of the inability to be able to prove without doubt that she actually killed Caylee on purpose and hid her body and did this all on her own.. 

I still feel it was an accidental killing even with the duct tape which may just have been there to stop her making a sound while in the boot of the car, if she woke up from being chloroformed and Casey was still partying..  tho it may then have turned into a sigh of relief for Casey once her daughter was no longer on the scene..

. I still can't see or compute how it could have been done on purpose.. part of that is cos I just can't get my head around the concept of murdering your own child but the other part for me is that Casey seemed to be very practical and concise with her lying and if she was going to murder Caylee and hide her body then am pretty sure she would have created some sort of elaborate lie and plan it well in advance so the evidence would look to prove her lie completely.. .eg Caylee got kidnapped/snatched while they were out shopping and Casey turned her back for a minute sort of thing. .

I feel that when Caylee died, by accident at her mothers hands, Casey then had to think on her feet and make up lies to fit the scene she was then presented with. .I know what I am trying to say but I can't explain it. .basically her way of getting out of this 'accident' was to make it even more elaborate than it perhaps really was.. just so she wouldn't get done for child abuse leading to manslaughter.. that's probably why Caylee was in the car for a while decomposing as her mother thought up her 'story',...

I believe she is guilty of murder in the 1st degree but I would vote for life imprisonment not the Death Penalty.

No idea how the real jury will vote though. I would guess at murder in the 2nd degree.

Soozy, sorry your daughter is having such a rotten time, I know you'll give her lots of love and support.

I would suggest a poll but it would seem everyone thinks she is guilty - it is to what extent that is difficult,  as i type i am holding my beautiful granddaughter who has fallen aleep, evil exists but how evil must a mother be to deliberately kill their child? i would hope that it was an accident (but not the swimming pool) in that she gave caylee too much chloroform,  i could not  forgive how she carried on without caylee  and now my little princess has woken

This is the point that actually sways me onto premeditation, I could buy that it was an accident if it were not for her actions afterwards. Not only the lying etc, that could be explained away as someone desperate to get out of it. But in particular, the partying and the phone call we heard again yesterday when at the 11th hour, when she had been arrested ALL she cared about was talking to her boyfriend. Listening to that again yesterday was so powerful after everything we know now. She even said at one point something along the lines of 'all you care about is finding casey'.  All she cared about was her own interests and getting in touch with her man.

I cannot comprehend how any mother could do it, and thats what makes me angry. Im not angry because im blood thirsty and dont care, im angry because i care what she did. Nomatter how angry you get with your kids, you might want to kill them but you dont actually risk killing them, or plan to kill them

Having said all that, i think she will get found guilty, if not of first degree then of second degree murder. I have mixed opinions on the death penalty, because if someone hurt a child of mine, bloody right id want them dead.  However I dont think she will get the death penalty, life without the possibility of parole will do nicely for me

I think the reason I can't see it as premeditated is because I just cannot get my head around how a supposedly same person could do something like that..  yet she has been examined and has been deemed sane. .altho the court has proved she did in fact create a completely imaginary existence.. surely that is not of right mind. .maybe cos she's not wild haired raving bonkers but seems normal form the outside is why they deem her sane. .who knows

I haven't seen the vid you referred to.. [edit. .actually I think I may have.. ages ago tho]  but do see what you all say about Casey being all about Casey which  is a form of narcissism which I believe is a mental illness which still makes me wonder why she is deemed of sound mind ..

If I was a Jury Member on this case and watched and listened from day one (as I have, granted being able to watch Casey's face at the same time)..(And not having heard of the case before the start of the trial)...

I would find her guilty through the factual evidence shown by the experts and the known lies she told, and her not, when given the chance of telling the truth, doing so...

Her not seeming to show any signs of remorse or regret...either for her daughter or family...

I would want her to spend the rest of her life in prison.......that to me would be more of a punishment for Casey Anthony than the Death Penalty.

Bill has said, if he were deliberating as part of the jury, he would bring in a "guilty of murder in the 1st degree" verdict. He also said he wouldn't ask for the DP but would ask for life imprisonment. Bill agrees with me. *smug smilie*
