She didnt react this way with her father on the stand.

No she didn't, but then again George didn't get visibly upset like Cindy.

Indeed!  it makes you think, this trial, so tragic though.

I feel like I've been through a wringer, it's emotionally draining just watching it.

Heaven help the family, living through this nightmare.

Yes. It`s unimaginable. I remember when it all first started, they supported Casey to the hilt. George`s words " I don`t want to lose both of them"

Now that Casey and the defence have accused George and her brother Lee of what they have, they`ve had to abandon her. It must be heartbreaking.

Yes

Today will have touched many people, real emotions and unimaginable grief.

I wonder if Cindy is on any medication to help with her grief etc?

There`s a lip reader on the hinky meter. If she`s there today she`ll post what Casey said. I`ll look later and post it here if she has.

Thanks Scotty, I'd be really interested to know what she was saying.

I believe she is. In the early days she was obviously taking something -she was slurring and her eyes her glazed.   Although she`s upset today, she`s more together than I`ve seen her in a while. I`m assuming her medication is more balanced now.

Pointing out that George, a former police officer, who said he smelled decomposition in the trunk of the car, who had expressed concern that Caylee or Casey might be in the trunk as he hadnt seen them, would have known he was contaminating the evidence by driving the car off and airing it out.

Why did he drive the car away?

Why didnt he call the police?

I found that  very odd, policeman or not, smell or not...I would have been reporting my child and grandchild missing

Hi Roxan. I did question George's actions after he picked up the car.

Roxan  Hi

Good point.

What was the time-scale of George saying this? > had expressed concern that Caylee or Casey might be in the trunk as he hadnt seen them.

Hi Ev!

It was the recovery of the car and the smell of decomposition that caused Cindy to call the police so at this point he hadnt seen Caylee for a month, (if I recall correctly) and hadnt seen Casey for 10 days.

I'm going to go back through this again, after today's trial, just to refresh it in my mind again

Thanks

To go to the lengths of making a lanyard from the Universal studio's (she was saying she was working at)  is very very devious and morbidly extremely clever.

It's very telling that Casey was telling lies and deceiving her family long before Caylee's disappearance. Her behaviour following Caylee's disappearance, seems to have been a continuation and escalation of this deception - as opposed to the defence team's theory that her behaviour was a reaction to Caylee's accidental death. (IMO)

I was just going to post the same, Scotty.

The number of lies is incredible - and they seemed to have flowed so effortlessly.

Whatever else is true in this case, Casey is (IMO) a compulsive liar.

She is indeed Yogi.

Now we have Zanny the non existent nanny involved in a crash.

I think that they're implying that her habitual lies are due to her father alledgely abusing her.

Wasn't that the day that they did report the child missing? I'm fairly certain it was.

Okay Soozy - althought I have my doubts about that theory.

Yes it was, Cindy called.

Well they are a married couple - so it was Cindy that called and not George - it may well prove to be significant but at least one of them called when the car was found stinking of a corpse. George didn't try to stop her - ATM - I don't see anything sinister or relevant that it was Cindy who contacted the police and not George.

No neither do I, but I still think that the defence made a good argument in questioning why George moved the car and aired it out when as a police officer he knew he was contaminating the scene.

Not saying this implies George is guilty, if he did suspecy something his first instinct may have been to protect his daughter - he did say as much.

I believe that's probably true.

Yes they are implying that.

She may still have been abused and it still have no connection at all with the disappearance or the decease of Caylee.

If the defence had gone down the road of mental illness (as  all Caseys symptoms are in line with a one i have already mentioned) then it may have shown that she was capable of killing her daughter.

The defence dont want to go down that particular avenue (IMO) stands to reason.

but ironically (IMO) neither do the Prosecution as they want to Find her guilty as a sane person.

But the Pool incident is full of holes up to now that the defence are claiming

In all honesty although the defence team appear to be bungling it must be soooooooooooo difficult for them working with a compulsive liar. How on earth do you construct a case when it's all so mental?

Good point. I was wondering at what point she admitted to her own defence team that Caylee was dead, given that the body was discovered 6 months later and she was still spinning the Zanny the nanny lie?

I'm wondering what she told them about dumping the body? All this stuff re the guy who found the remains etc. Has she told them or not? Who can trust a word that she says?

Not me, Soozy.

When one of Casey's lies was exposed, she simply concocted another lie to cover it up.

A pathological liar.

It certainly can't be easy for her defence team to have her as a client.

Me too. Just like Cindy who cleaned out the car and sprayed it with febreze.(sp)

She knew the odour was decomposition, and even although she made the phone call about the smell in the car, she still tried to protect her by doing that.
