All 12. “@PeachyEmma: @qz6 Hi Jim, how many of the jury does it take to say Casey will get the death penalty? thank you”

Well done on getting the tweet.

I'm confused though, because I remember Bill saying that all juors have to agree on the Murder in the 1st Degree charge, but it only takes 7 jurors to agree on the DP part.

I googled and found this:

As it stands now, 12 jurors must reach a unanimous verdict to convict a defendant of first-degree murder. But in a separate proceeding, called the penalty phase of the trial, jurors need only a simple majority, or seven votes, to recommend the death penalty."

That`s wrong Ev. It`s 7.

That is what I thought too Scotty...but 12 to agree she is guilty?

That`s right zazz.

I clearly remember Judge Perry giving the details on sentencing -  7 was needed to give her the death penalty, if she was found guilty.

Scotty

CaseyAnthony searched chloroform because her boyfriend posted pic about it on MySpace. (he did)

state's entire rebuttal case was proving Cindy was a liar. Baez says he told them that at the very beginning.

Anyone wishing to watch this closing statement from defence live http://www.wesh.com/casey-anth...age/interactive.html

Yes it depends on what and which guilty verdict it will be first.

The 7 jury members needed to give her the death penalty if she is found guilty doesnt depend on anything, that is how it is, no?
